Hi cenoman. I agree with your logic in steps 1,2 and 3. But step 4 is not valid, I think, because there are 4 Boxes involved in the UR. For example, if g6=5, the 14 pair can still be resolved by 14 elsewhere in any of the 4 Boxes. A UR (with 2 unknowns) only occurs across 2 Boxes.

Hi, Alfred, you are right. I forgot this condition of 2 boxes for a UR. Thank you for noticing. By chance in this puzzle, 5g4 is in the solution, but it might not as well...
My step 4 has to be replaced with
4. Kraken (4)agi8 =>-1g4; singles to 81 (that was my first More...
