May well be fewer, since the solvers come up with just 23 after basics.

Hi Sarah,
I have checked tough puzzles of the last week. They all have 22 givens or 23 givens (23 when the center e5 is a given)
The today's puzzle is not minimal, i.e. all givens are not needed for a unique solution (6f4 could be omitted). I have not checked minimality of older More...
