I learned to sew on a treadle that was my mom's. My grandfather bought it for her when she was first married. I still have it and couldn't bear to part with it.

Amazing that those are still in use. Wonder if new ones are still being made?

I have my grandmothers treadle machine. Bought in 1910. Last time I used it(not recently) it still sewed perfectly.
