That's my photo taken a long time ago and would have been on this page early on the site. Taken at a house we stayed at in the Burgundy area in France in 2003.

How do YOU enter possibilities? Unless I see some UPs sticking out, or the puzzle has imbalanced givens, I usually enter them in the bottom three boxes, then middle, then top three.

On a puzzle I just did, I started at the top and felt disoriented.

On Toughs, I mean. If I need possibilities on Hard, I look for useful information first before entering any.

Hi Sarah.Looking for pairs and triples can be helpful. Here, the pair d89=37, gives you e9=4 and f3=7 immediately, which then leads to UP67. Over 3/4 of the grid filled.

Best Regards, Alfred.
