Good Morning John and Shiela!

HmmmmMM - A kitchen is certainly something you would miss. It looks like this lucky person may be getting a new one!

Let's see... We've had several kitchens done in Sudokuland... I wonder who this one belongs to?
Strikes fear in my heart, but the end product would be very nice!

I don't know how deal with feet of snow and below 0°F. Hope you are all safe well and warm.

The Husband Store
A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:
You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the More...

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE 1930s, '40s, '50s, and '60s!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who may have smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then, More...

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of those born between 1925-1970, CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids before the More...

In the 20 or so years I have lived in this part of France I have never know it snow continuously for so long and to be so cold. I am so glad my mother instilled in me the importance of a store cupboard of non perishables. Together with this the full freezer and it can continue.

Good Maen all!
Jane - we were 19 degrees warmer than you last night...this just isn't right!!!
Shiela - TOOOOOOOO funny! Loved it.
Boy - does that kitchen look familiar. Seems I've been living in kitchen's under construction for years!

There was a slight chance of snow here yesterday - which, fortunately, didn't materialize. My research shows that the last time it snowed here was December 23-24, 1989. Prior to that you have to go back a hundred years (according to a friend whose family has lived here for several generations.)

Burl says he will make me some new kitchen cabinets and install them. Between us, it will probably take the next 15 years, if at all. But it gives me hope.

They're supposed to be made of cherry from our woods. Burl has a saw mill and has been making decorative boxes as gifts. He asked More...

Ah, thank you, Jane. It just isn't in me, but it being a weekend and 2 hours into it, I figured I owed it to the Man for giving him a hard time about my inadvertant 22 earlier in the week.

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to update everyone on my 91 yr old gramma. In the last year she has steadily declined. I've heard that happens to people when they get old, but I never thought she'd get this way. Her mind is still very young, only has started to repeat stories and daily More...

One day The Lord spoke to Adam. "I've got some good news and some bad news," The Lord said.

Your gramma sounds like an amazing woman, Angie. She still seems to be enjoying life on her terms and taking the curtailments in stride. Good for her!

Eve - thank you. I remember those days with great nostalgia. We played 'kick the can' in the middle of the street, and sledded down a snow-covered street, right across the intersection, because the cars were few and far between and watched out for us kids.

This will be the "coldest" day since I moved to South Florida over 7 years ago. A record low high temperature of just 48F is expected here. That may not be cold if you are in the Dakotas, but in the previous 7 years only 2 days failed to reach 60F. Brrrrrrrr

Is there a medical advisor in the house? Starr lost a divot of flesh out of the side of her hand when a drinking glass broke yesterday while she was washing dishes. I put a sterile gauze pad on it, and, so it didn't stick, I put a glob of 3-antibiotic on the gauze where it went over the wound. But More...
