...and here's today's factoid:

Good Maen friends!
Didn't get to Mr. Cee's poozle yesterday and hate to miss one as we only get them on the weekends now.
Kayo - the government one is great and it leads perfectly into your factoid

puzzle was 1-9 - easy peasy...love the photo...I got this close to koala at Phillip's Island, but we didn't pet them. I don't think they like that very much. I read they get more traumatized by the touch than Kangaroo's and such.

Mr. Cee:
whith·er [hwith-er, with-] adverb
1. to what place? where?
2. to what end, point, action, or the like? to what?
conjunction
3. to which place.
4. to whatever place.
Origin:
before 900; Middle English, variant of Middle English, Old English hwider, alteration of hwæder (cognate with Gothic hwadre ), modeled on hider hither
10/Mar/13 12:37 AM
 |  |

I was thinking Wither as in to wither and die (plant) and typed Whither. The Hither part was right as in come hither.

Adverb
To or toward this place: 'I little knew then that such calamity would summon me hither!'

Getting old and blind too boot..

We only get poozles on the weekend? What am I, chopped liver?

I wonder where that expression came from?
10/Mar/13 2:18 AM

Here we go....

''Since eating chopped liver may not be appreciated by everyone, the Jewish English expression 'What am I, chopped liver?', signifies frustration or anger at being ignored on a social level.

An alternative explanation for the etymology of the 'What am I, chopped More...
