I was really good and held out on the math puzzles, until now.

Using exactly seven 8’s and only four basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) make the number 40. Each operation can be used more than once or not at all.

Post answers to the More...

My dare-develish event would be skydiving. I had wanted to for years. An actual opportunity came up when I was pregnant with my oldest so I couldn't go. After that, the idea started to freak me out so I never did it.

Ewwe, this is a tuffy Fiona. Something daredevilish, hummmmmm, at the moment I have to go into that room and prepare food. That scares me all the time.

My worst heart-pumper is... public speaking! Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! So, instead, I'll choose doing all of the biggest rides at Cedar Point, hang-gliding off a cliff in Hawaii, & bungy jumping off a bridge in one day!

If I had to choose one... I've always wanted to hang-glide off a cliff.
(Besides, I can go to Cedar Point anytime if I can find someone to go with me, that is! Hubby gets sick!)

Oh, I like the bumper cars, might move up and to possibly, go-carts, but to be daring, I think I will go race car driving. Think that would be fun riding around in circles, at high speeds.

Fiona, I would like to be an astronaut!!! Visit Mars or one of the moons of Jupiter. Long ago there was a competition for the first teacher to go up in a space shuttle. I entered that and the applications included having the principal, a teacher, a community person write a letter of recommendation and oodles of essays to write, including a lesson plan to teach while in space.

Shiela, Miss 22 for a day, and I think alike. As a teenager, I watched a beautiful sunrise standing on the edge of Glacier Point (see Hal's picture: http://sudoku.com.au/PhotosBig.aspx?PID=12811&UID=21463&Go=Z15-11-1990 ) transfixed by the beauty, with the wind coming up the side of the cliff and More...

Needless to say, I didn't win. Christa McAuliffe won. But even after the Challenger tragedy, to this day I still try to weigh the tragedy with the few seconds in real space. It was an even draw for a while. That's how exciting I think going into space would be.

Happy Wednesday day off!

I like Shosho's idea of being an astronaut (go big or go home, eh?) and am selfishly very glad she was not the 1st teacher in space so we can enjoy spending time with her down here ♥

Well Fiona, I certainly enjoyed having a llama caddy for me on the golf course. I'm not sure the grounds crew did though as the llama left 'gifts' on the green at the 8th and in the fairway of the 17th. C'est la vie!
