Hello Glinda! Way to go!
Hello Grass-hopper. Has it stopped raining?
11/Dec/10 12:05 AM

Hello Shiela & Glinda.
Yes the rain has stopped and we have had two glorious days. May be a bit wet tomorrow. How's the icky white stuff where you are.

to all, GH, do give us an update on the flooding. Are you effected?

Good Maen friends!
Going to be home all day finishing putting up the holiday decor. It's rainy and cold outside...with a fire the atmosphere should be perfect!

Good Morning to everyone! Our ground is barely covered here with the "icky white stuff!" About 3 more inches is predicted tomorrow night.

Hi vv & GmaJackie.
No real problems here just been wet and soggy. Very humid and generally unpleasant.

Our camper from Michgan will probably never see the snow again.

I think we're finally going to get some snow here. It's about time!

Some very heavy flooding around Canberra/Queenbeyan.

Icky white stuff is still icky... only more so.
It snowed a bit more last night. Still, we have only a dusting.
Better than my Mum. She's had 4 inches of new snow for two days in a row, plus a base of 6 inches.
Not the best for driving, but probably much prettier!

Vici - A fire sounds nice.

Grasshopper - Is a camping trip on the horizon? It is hard to imagine a camping trip in December with snow on the ground, but this is your summer isn't it?

Is mum in MI??

I've been meaning for ages to thank everyone for the great photos! I'm a sucker for babies & puppies & kittens, as well. Still, I must say my favorites are of different parts of the world - I try to guess before the comment pops up - I just love this peak around the globe. So thanks all photographers!

HI all! Glorious day here, Mr Blue Sky is above us and the sun has got its hat on. No, I won't sing. Lots of old tarts, sorry riddlers, in my inbox today - yesterday's answer was a deck of cards and the correct answers came from Kathy, Glenn, Jerry, lonewoof, Greg, Grasshopper, Phantom, Keith and HalT.

Yes Debby It's our summer. We plan to go to Adelaide in January and visit GmaJackie then return via the great ocean road in Victoria. We had a big trip in it in the US in Aug/Sept. There are pic's on my page from The top of MI to CA.

Yes, GH, my mother is in the northern part of the state and gets lake effect snow from Lake Michigan.

If Kathy can drag herself away from admiring her new mantle (perfectly correctly spelt like that too!!) she can set you the weekend puzzles. Have a nice one...we are going to buy a Christmas tree, groan!

Linds, I feel the same way about the photos. The online friends keep me interested in coming back but the photos are an added attraction to do the puzzels.

Wow! You got 22, G-H!
Mum lives 50 miles south of 'the bridge' in the Petoskey area. Did you go past her house on the way to the bridge?

And me GH, I will be there too!

Way to go Grass-hopper. I am so excited to be able to see you again and have you and hubby meet my son and his family. It will be so much fun.

We will have to make a date Gail and anyone else who can make it.

Brilliant idea GH, maybe Margot and Elsie...
GmaJ and I talked about meeting up in Hahndorf.

GH, that will be a long trip again for you. I love the way your hubby takes the back road with no thought of getting anywhere fast. Mine likes the highway/interstate.
11/Dec/10 12:38 AM

We will spend at least a week to 10 days in Adelaide as Mr G-H lived there in the 70's and hasn't been back since.

Grasshopper - sounds like a lot of fun. I will be sure to check out your pictures. We always enjoy going to the UP. I assume that is what you are referring to as "top of MI?"

Linds - Are you a "newcomer?"

Have a great day everyone.

Yes we love the road less traveled when on vacation but the Highways are good if you need to get there in a hurry. We will be away for 3 weeks or so.

I really appreciated all the ideas for making Christmas decorations. I think I will go to our craft store and buy some items to take with me.I am sure there are craft stores in AU. but getting to one may be a problem.

GmaJackie, I love backroads!
Hubby will take them, because I'm the 'designated navigator' on our trips!
