Good morning people of the world. 13/Feb/15 12:07 AM |  |
I want the world to know, I have a super hero on this site. Thank God, for Keith and his late night, well not his late night, game playing. 13/Feb/15 12:10 AM |  |
Had a little drama, when I was wrapping up my day last. I really do not care for drama. Around 11, I took a girl on her nightly mid night run, went into the FPA, where I standing at the bar, which is across from out patio back door, when I heard it jiggle. Well, it is 11:15, that door More... 13/Feb/15 12:13 AM |  |
A few minutes later, I hear the inside, back door, jiggle. That is not my imagination. Again, Shelby went to that door, her tail wagging, but no barking. She really is not a barking dog, and believes everyone that comes to our door, comes specifically to see her. Well, now I have goose More... 13/Feb/15 12:20 AM |  |
Ended up with 2 units out here, within 10 minutes of me calling. They checked all around the house, and down the ally, then came inside and checked the garage, which the outside, to the patio, garage door was unlocked, but did not looked forced open. Since, the attic is still open, with the ladder More... 13/Feb/15 12:26 AM |  |
He left with reassurance, that a patrol car, will be making rounds throughout the night, which by 2:30, I had seen the car pass 3 times, generally I just see them once a night.Needless to say, I was a little apprehensive, afterwards, and sleep was not going to happen. This is where my hero of More... 13/Feb/15 12:30 AM |  |
Around 2:30, I thought I would try to sleep, so for my protection I crawled into bed with M. I had thought about crawling in bed with K, since she was only taking up the bottom half of her bed, but M still has a tendency to get up during the night and come to my bed. I thought if I was in bed with More... 13/Feb/15 12:35 AM |  |
BTW, nothing other than the back door being unlocked, was the only thing out of place. And as I told Keith, because I felt foolish calling the police, I would rather be called the paranoid crazy lady, than called the dead lady. And throughout the rest of the night, there were a few, More... 13/Feb/15 12:39 AM |  |
Is this one of your photos Anne?Karen, I am pleased that nothing happened and that you were able to talk to Keith. It is no fun being home at night, when Hubby is working, and you hear noises that disturb you. 13/Feb/15 1:25 AM |  |
I am awake because we had a storm go through and the rain was heavy enough to overflow the gutters and the water come into the sun room. I had to get buckets and towels and will have to clean it up later. 13/Feb/15 1:28 AM |  |
Isn't this the same puzzle as yesterday with a different picture at the end??? 13/Feb/15 1:42 AM |  |
Just checked Dave, and there is a 6 where the 1 is on the first line. 13/Feb/15 1:45 AM |  |
 , y'all! Forgot to time this morning's Easy. Fascinating photo. 13/Feb/15 1:49 AM |  |
 Is it really floating? 13/Feb/15 1:51 AM |  |
Karen, unnerving stuff. Sounds like someone was checking for easy access for sure, but didn't find any. You did the right thing because you felt threatened. I bet that was the longest 10 minutes of your life. 13/Feb/15 1:52 AM |  |
When I hear noises at night I typically assume it's because I'm overtired and go to bed. Probably not the most rational response. 13/Feb/15 1:52 AM |  |
See if you can figure out the words in this 'pyramid' using the hints given below. Each new word contains the same letters as the previous word, plus a new letter. Order need not be preserved. 1) Twenty-first letter of the English alphabet2) Awake3) Mug4) A point or pointed More... 13/Feb/15 1:54 AM |  |
One thing I miss about having a dog around, is the barking that I assumed would scare of any trespassers. 13/Feb/15 1:55 AM |  |
Thanks ladies. That was like the third time in my life I ever called the police. Noises generally do not bother me, but I watched my animals. Shelby, like I said, believes anyone who enters the house is there to see her, but the kitties also seemed to waiting to see who would enter, I think that is what got me. Like Serena, night noises, generally are ignored and I go to bed. 13/Feb/15 2:23 AM |  |
Also, I would rather be known as the crazy, paranoid lady, than the dead lady or worse, hurt lady. 13/Feb/15 2:24 AM |  |
Well, it seems that our very own Keith is a hero! I, for one, am very glad that he has to ... well ... get up during the night! Every cloud has a silver lining, eh, Keith? Job well done! I'm glad all is well, Karen! 13/Feb/15 2:31 AM |  |
It appears that I swiped your number in your honor! 13/Feb/15 2:33 AM |  |
everyone! I hope you finally get some rest, Karen. Scary stuff. for Keith! 13/Feb/15 2:42 AM |  |
Awww shucks. Twern't nuthun. I enjoyed chatting with Karen, and am just glad I happened to be available at the right time. Glad to see you get my #, Judy. 13/Feb/15 2:47 AM |  |

The answer to yesterday's poozle: llama The length of each word is the same length as the numbers one, two, three, four, five, six - the next is seven, which has 5 letters - llama is the only word with 5 letters. Only two correct answers, so Judy and Hal get the appropriate prize for their efforts... 13/Feb/15 3:00 AM |  |
Nice prize, you cheap, old bat! LOL! Well, Hal, at least one good thing came out of us getting together last night ... 13/Feb/15 3:05 AM |  |
 Floating reed island ... cool idea. 13/Feb/15 3:07 AM |  |
That sounds scary, Karen. You did the right thing by calling the police. Jiggling door handles are not done by the wind. I feel fortunate that I don't have that worry. With 15 protective collies in the house, I feel very safe. The last person who tried to come in the house was hospitalized. I More... 13/Feb/15 3:10 AM |  |
 everyone!!! 13/Feb/15 3:13 AM |  |
No wonder I didn't get yesterday's poozle - a bit too abstract for me to latch on to anything. Oh well! 13/Feb/15 3:13 AM |  |
Yes, Heidi! Collies are great watch and family dogs! We had one when my older son was a baby and we lived in Venice, not the safest neighborhoods. One night it was just me and the baby when I heard the collie barking viciously at something. I was cowering with my son in my arms. 13/Feb/15 3:15 AM |  |
Very cool picture and idea.... but how do they cook their food? I wouldn't want to light a fire on a bunch of dried reeds. 13/Feb/15 3:16 AM |  |
Heidi, that's about as quick a response as a homeowner can get. We don't own dogs, but we are very capable of evening the odds for whoever would attempt to break in. I'll leave it at that. 13/Feb/15 3:16 AM |  |
Then I heard running and yelling, then it was quiet. When my husband came home, he told me our front fence was leaning outward but the gate was closed. It seems that our dog chased the would be burglar out!!! Ralph, my hero! 13/Feb/15 3:17 AM |  |
Son is now 41 yo. And to think that he as a toddler used to try to ride him, hank on his hair trying to walk, just torment the poor dog and Ralph just whined and nuzzled him! 13/Feb/15 3:18 AM |  |
 Well as long as I'm here. . . 13/Feb/15 3:19 AM |  |
 I might as well . . . 13/Feb/15 3:19 AM |  |
