Susan from Ingham:
What a pity you would only be pretending to be all those nice things if you weren't married !!!
How is Ingham? I often used to travel to Ingham because I did field work to the west of there at a place called Ewan (please don't ask "Ewe an' who?") !
There are no sheep at Ewan - only cattle, roos, eagles, ants, and the occasional red-backed spider.

It is always sad to lose a beloved pet. After we had to have our collie put to sleep our vet sent us a beautiful poem, which I kept. It goes:
Treat me kindly my beloved friend, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me.

A man walked into a bar, leading an alligator by a leash. He asked the bartender, "Do you serve lawyers here?"
"Sure do," said the bartender.
"Good," replied the man. "Give me a beer, and I'll have a lawyer for my 'gator."

I used to know a doctor by the name of Dr. Needle.

I also know of a bloke who dropped the 'E' from his name when he became an airline pilot. I don't think anyone would want to hear the words "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am your pilot, Captain CarEless"!

Jane's birthday party caused a cyber-quake; and, because of the vibrations, sudokuland had no fixed location for a few hours. It appears to be at its old address once more - if a little shaken.

The quakes off the west coast of Sumatra could be serious. A 700 km length of the coastline is very unstable with three or four big separate quake epicentres (e.g.M8.4, M7.8, M7.1) during the past couple of days. Two big quakes were just offshore from one of the biggest volcanos in Indonesia More...

Rosemary - wonderful news about your father!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I experienced severe withdrawal symptoms yesterday when I couldn't access the site. I haven't figured out yet whether that's good or bad! Anyway, I'm sure glad everything's been restored.
