Good morning every one. Off to take the new tinnie for a spin. A couple of months ago we bought 1 that hubby and I can manage on our own. We go shares in a bigger 1 with friends, but it needs 2 blokes to manage that.

Hubby is champing at the bit to give it a go. So today it is.

I've put a pic on my page - can't decide on the spelling - tinny/tinnie.

Sacky, my Aussie slang dictionary says:
Tinny : can of beer
Tinny : small aluminium boat
Tinny, tin-arsed : lucky

So, I agree with Karen, it's spelled B-O-A-T.

Horrible terrorist attacks in Paris. So sorry for the misery being caused to the French people.

I suspect that we can expect more of the same in the near future.

And I also expect that the countries that are most willing to welcome middle-east refugees will be the hardest hit.

And, believe me, it pains me to say that.

What a nifty boat, Sacky - where & for what do you use it ...other than just-for-the-fun-of-it??!

Boob tube obviously means something different in the US so I was left wondering why Sue would want to distress and look at a womens tight stretchy top!

Mads, that was funny. I've never noticed the connection between the meaning of a tube top and boob tube.

Boob Tubes were fashionable back about 1978. A stretchy tube of fabric about 8-12 inches deep worn over a woman's chest. Great for the summer. They were not at all flattering for me so I never wore one.

I never wore a boob tube either. Still didn't wet the tinny, had to put the maiden voyage off until Monday. Thanks for the spelling help. Words of wisdom: It's not a good idea to drink too many tinnies in a tinny! A tinny is a tinny. All tinnies are boats, but not all boats are tinnies. That's enough rambling from me. Good night all. 😄💤

Sorry Joyce. I meant to answer - its main purpose is fishing - for trout on the highland lakes of Tassie's Central Plateau and salt water fish along the coastal waters.

Here's a last minute hint for #1. This may be more of a Monday type problem.
