Mine, too, Lizzy - but I just don't understand the many people in the world who support and applaud these murderers.

I went to a Pearls and High Tea event yesterday, as a retiremant party for a friend who just left after 42 years at the hospital, 30 odd of them on night duty. She is a veru elegant lady, always immaculately groomed, not above wearing her pearls to work for special occasions like a month's mourning for the Queen Mum when she died.

So a High Tea just sweemed appropriate. Everyone brought foood (brought a plate as we call it im OZ), and there were all sorts of sweet and savoury treats. I confess I ate too much! I took little sandwiches, yes, some cucumber ones as per tradition. So for dinner, Mr P and I ate soup and little sandwiches - and some leftover sweet things. Hence why my wakefulness could be sugar overload!

Well, I can't say it's a good morning. What a horrific night for the people of Paris. My thoughts and prayers are with them as they face the aftermath from these insane terrorists.

Everybody.

My heart goes out to all the people in France and throughout the world that have been affected by this latest madness.

BTW, we heard from Mo and Fiona on TOS that they're safe. I haven't seen Liz comment anything yet, but she doesn't live in Paris so hope she is alright. I can't think of any other Sudokuists that live in France.

for the victims and their families. My heart aches for them. What monsters we have in our nightmares have come true in these terrorists. They don't deserve to be considered human or of this earth. Their version of religion comes from hell.

They must be wondering what is next, is it their turn? Is it safe to go anywhere? A cloud of fear hangs over them and I am very sorry for the people killed and injured In Paris, and their family and friends.

Agree with all the comments above re Paris. A terrible, terrible indictment on ISIS. This horror is also being played out against innocent people in the Middle East almost daily. The loss of all innocent lives should be raged against.

Thank you Sacky for reminding all that this is a daily occurrence somewhere in so much of the middle east.
I don't think loss of innocent life is any more terrible in Paris than else where in the world. Undoubtedly it is more 'shocking' to us because of our false sense of security in the More...

Like Mo and Fiona, we are too far South to have the true effects of yesterday's atrocities, thank heavens! Far too close for comfort, though. Real sympathies to those whose lives have been devastated by these terrible acts. We need to find the people behind all this and wipe them out!

1:55 Good afternoon one and all!

I agree with you all about the atrocities happening in Paris and around the world. What is this world coming to???? My heart goes out to all the victims and their families and friends.

My family have all gone home except one granddaughter and I will take her back to her boarding house later this afternoon.
I even attended the local annual Agricultural Society Show (I don't very often go) but after Prince Charles and Lady Camilla had been and gone. I didn't want to outdo them.
