Good mAen, good people. As soon as I swallow the last of my sandwich I'm off to a neighboring town to meet up with a friend who moved to Kansas who is passing back through the area today. Then I'll come back home to do some canning.

Speaking of canning... our heirloom tomatoes from the garden are finally beginning to ripen - and are so delicious! We never have any 'left-over' for canning or freezing; we either eat them or pass extras on to our neighbors...

Bill had a great day yesterday, he had two birthday cakes. I've had enough cake to last me for a while, well at least until December.🤗

I've gotten back home from our time at the beach house. The whole family had lots of fun, as we always do. Good group of folks, easy to be around.

I looked back over the last few days, for any news about Greg. I'd gotten a PM from Kathy to call, which I did.

I got the same response as Snowbird, and also left a message, asking him to drop by here and report in.

I hope Snowbird, being closer, will be able to find out something for us.

I've had a busy few days, at least by my standards. I've decided to sell my 1929 Austin Seven as I can no longer drive it. It is basically in good condition, but a few things need adjusting, so we had to take it to my favourite mechanic for a service. That required a tow truck and assistance from others. There has been quite a bit of interest.

all. Watching a show on PBS called Outback.

I spent yesterday in hospital having an operation to correct a 'trigger finger', nothing to do with firing a gun. It all went very smoothly, but my left hand is now swathed in bandages, that must stay on for two weeks. So I am now down to one finger typing and I'm having great difficulty in putting on/taking off long sleeved clothes. I should have left it until summer.

Thanks Hal, I'm about to try my first shower with a plastic bag over the hand, since the bandage has to last for two weeks.

Thank goodness there is a bandage on only one hand or I wouldn't be able to drink my beer available from claiming number 33.

Yeh! I got it. One finger typing certainly slows you down. Who will turn the page? It is probably getting towards Hals bedtime.

I am enjoying the Outback series on PBS. All three episodes so far have been riveting. Tonight the petroglyphs in Purnululu were perhaps the most amazing among many amazing things.

I have been having some physical therapy for back problems, and the last two appointments are reminders that PT also stands for physical torture. I am in more pain now than when I began, but I suppose it is all for the good in the long run.

Aside from the astonishing drawings that might be 30,000 years old, there were some from around 1930 of automobiles!

I just read all there is to know about 'trigger finger' - never heard of it before! Hang in there, Wombat & speedy recovery! Medical advancements are amazing - how lucky you are that there is a solution to rid yourself of this inconvenience & pain!

I can surely empathize with you regarding one-handed typing... it was not so long ago where I was relegated to it when I'd broken my shoulder... I immediately chose reading as my favorite pastime!
