3:11 and Happy St. Pat's to all the Irish, and to those who wish they were. And I'll do a rain dance for Shawn in Oklahoma.

4'07. Pretty. Reminds me of north/central Arizona.
 |  |
For two cents, I'd _______________________.

It does look a bit like Arizona doesn't it? Can't know for sure of course. Too bad there's no caption. And it's certainly scraggly enough looking to be a Joshua tree.
 |  |

A great and hilarious joke! 'Twill be told many a time today.
 |  |
Hay, scraggly is it? Trees have feelins too, don't you know! How root!

Bill K. I was thinking that the green could stand for St. Patrick's day and green for a healthy environment. Like Kermit says here in the US. It's not easy being green and anything we can do to make it easier, will help.
 |  |
Bill K - Way to go buddy. Thanks for getting back to the explanation regardless of what a couple people say.
Nancy from IN - You may be right. I was just in Tucson AZ and looks like a typical sunrise over Saguaro National Monument. Saguaro in a large cactus in the southwest US and pronounced (sa-war-o).
Good Maen everyone and Happy St. Pat's day in the US...
 |  |
Gina, Mary, Cathy, Suzanne, LK, Aileen, Rosemary, Jamie - thank you all. I suppose it's worse for others who failed along with me. Must motivate the unmotivated, and figure out how to change the approach of those who work to no avail.
 |  |
Suzanne - we have 4 leaf clover, along with the spoof and a rendition in gargle, on our CD!

Dave from Oregon/Arizona, whereabouts are you? I'm thinking of a quick trip out to Arizona (Congress, of all places) departing Wichita tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.
 |  |
good Maen all
where did you go LK
 |  |
Dave: thanks for the support. I joined this site because it seemed like a bunch of fun people. Then I ran into the 'maen' controversy and got a little gun shy. Guess I will jsut grin and bear it. Actually, given the time differences, I like the people who are on at this time of day: You, More...
 |  |
I have just finished my first Sudoku and will sink a few Guinness tonight.......Yee Haaaa
 |  |
Good Maen to everyone.

Bill K, I think all the different time zones is the big reason you see different ones in the afternoon and evenings. I am on in the a.m. and afternoon. When I am just getting ready to go home from work when the aussies are getting up for the day. There are many regulars in the afternoons and evenings.
 |  |
Also different work shifts, if you work 2nd shift and have access to internet, maybe that is when they are online.
 |  |
Lk: Actually, I would rather avoid some of the irregulars. I do work 2nd shift so don't have access between 2:30pm-11:30pm. Do check sometimes when I come home and alot of the aussie folks are on-line.
 |  |
2:55 and i'm only 13 pretty goood if i do say so my self
 |  |
Jeanette: Check out April's 'Discover' magazine. There is a full scale refinery in the midwest the uses turkey offal to make high grade heating oil. The rest is made into fertilizer and water clean enough to put back into the environment. May be the beginnings of a new era in bio-fuels. Would sure beat our dependency on an unstable part of the world!!
 |  |
Charlotte: Great time!! Puts me to shame for today's puzzle and I'm a bet older than 13.

Have a great day!
 |  |
4:28. Humm. Top 'o the...& all that. St. Pat's for us today. Maybe I put too much Baileys in the coffee to start my day.
 |  |
Back from trip, miss the warmer weather and left my brains in FL - too over 4 minutes today. Good Green Maen to all!
 |  |
Bill K: Thanks, I will be sure to check it out. I know it is a little strange, somebody from Texas wanting to conserve energy, but I really do want to get out of the unstable part of the world. I have children in the armed forces and it is pretty scary.
 |  |
Love the toast! Happy St. Patrick's Day, All!
