Machines are busy, but the pile is not decreasing. Girls and Man, have given me a pile of, 'this broke, you need to fix it,' keeps growing. Preparing to take my favorite men their Monday offerings, but each time I think I am ready to take the bin down, I find more stuff to give them. Using the shop More...

Went to the optometrist this morning to find out why my new glasses want to make one eye cross... Lots of possibilities, but they'll 'get back with me'.

Everybody.
And I'm still in the world, too! I'm here earlier than my norm. But maybe this will help Keith or CP get to their 22!

I'm a little late, too. I had such a busy weekend that I took the opportunity to sleep in this morning.

I am waiting for Silvergal to post the answers to yesterday's rebus puzzle. I didn't get to it until late last night and got hung up on one....and a few were guesses. I was still trying to figure them out when I fell asleep.
I am off in a few minutes to buy plants for door prizes for a More...

Happy Victoria Day to Greg and our other Canadian friends! I wanted to be sure about the nature of this holiday, so I looked it up online ... ''It honours Queen Victoria's birthday. Victoria Day is also commonly referred to as the 'May long weekend', and it marks the unofficial start of the More...

, y'all! Finally went to the Minute Clinic for this sinus thingie that won't go away - I've had it since early April after getting over a cold. No infection, so no antibiotics. Hopefully the prescribed nasal spray will help.

Judy, the beer comment reflects the other nickname for the holiday.... Mat 24 day referring to a case of 24 beer!

Mat = May (hic!).

Has anyone else noticed the name of one of our new members? I shouldn't say anything, I went out with Les Ferm and Willie Creamer ...real people. I also went to school with Les Seaman and Peter Orazem. So, if that is your real name, Mr. Richard Dribble, I apologize. If not,

35 Years Ago.............

On May 18, 1980, a major volcanic eruption occurred at Mount St. Helens, a volcano located in the state of Washington, United States.
19/May/15 4:52 AM
 |  |

Will I age myself, if I say, I remember that day?

Actually, I do not remember the eruption. I remember the hottest guy in my Sunday school class tried to break up with his girlfriend, and she wrote him a letter saying, 'The day we break up is the day Mt. St. Helens explodes.' The next day Mt. St. Helens was in the news. Freaky.

I got some terrific news, that has me in a small panic. My sister is coming 3 days earlier than expected and may stay longer. She has also asked if I would take care of her babies, who I have yet to meet and one is turning 3 this year, so she and whoever she is married to can go to a ball game. Poor girl is in high altitudes and thinks I am going to return the little darlings.

Keith, catching up on yesterday's food discussion - I feel the same way about cube steak as you do about liver! Can't stand it. What's the point of trying to dress it up? It'll never be a filet mignon. (Cube steak is one thing I've NEVER made since getting out on my own.)

Good morning all. I usually drop by, but not at a time when anyone else is here. An old saying I remember as a kid was 'talking to yourself is the first sign of madness' and I would hate to bring that on, so I just move on and become a lurker.
19/May/15 7:02 AM
 |  |

(It was probably the lack of choice when it was served in our family that made me hate it even more.)
19/May/15 7:03 AM

No, Sacky, talking to yourself is fine. It's when you start arguing with yourself and LOSING those arguments that it's time to see a doc .
