Gotta love those 'Weight Watcher pills', but they've NEVER worked for me!

My daughter, who is a nurse, has dieted by counting calories. She tells the story on herself that she has counted out her day's allotment of calories in M&Ms, and that's all she ate that day.

So Wombat has gotten into the poozle creation game. It looks like a fun one to try.

CG - Good luck with your shoulder healing. I had my left shoulder (I'm a righty) separated and dislocated all in the same event back in 1966. It also broke off the top part of the joint that holds the ball in the socket. For years (30 or so), it would pop out if I tried to put a shirt or sweater More...

My left shoulder (I'm a lefty) subluxated (part way out and right back in) for years. The first time it dislocated completely, it stayed out for a VERY LONG half hour. It was during that half hour that I decided to have shoulder surgery. This was way back in the 70s. As I recall, recovery from that surgery took very near to forever.

Keith, I know that trick. I used to plan my entire day around which Weight Watcher dessert I would have after dinner! Also managed to work my pb&j's into the mix! Fellow dieters thought I was nuts (measuring my peanut butter and fruit spread) but I got to my goal weight in plenty of time for the wedding!

Kathy, it's actually warmer where you are than it is where I am. We'd been dealing with mid-90s and low 100s for weeks until late last week.

More heal-quickly wishes for Greg! I feel your pain, having broken a bone in my foot years ago.

Wombat, your poozle prompted a visit to your page, and more importantly, your photo gallery! Thanks for the snippets - enjoyed them.

Man... the lack of sleep last night is doing me in. Nothing in particular keeping me awake - my thoughts were just drifting. I lied awake last night from 11:30 or so until 2am. Swapped to the couch (sometimes a room change helps) and got to sleep.

Then woke up thinking my travel alarm which was on the coffee table didn't go off (Silverteen had to get up early for a Student Government function) only to find out the battery was dead... and it was only 4:30am!

Swapped out the battery and was able to get back to sleep. I can function on 7 hours of sleep for a week, 6 hours for 2 days, but the 5 hours or so that I got? Can't hang with that. I need the allotted 8-8.5 hours.

We don't need to visit the farmer's market - thanks to my hubby we have a wonderful 'city' garden & are feasting on home-grown Heirloom tomatoes, green beans, leaf lettuce, Kohlrabi, radishes, tiny succulent beets & their greens! I love this time of year! Our neighbors love it too!

Talking about dieting, my daughter gave me a little sign which said; 'Recently I lost some weight, but it found me again'. She was right.
