2:26 Good evening all.

One of the ladies that was on our Peru trip left today for another holiday in Nepal and I wish I was going there with her.

Eve - this island in the photo is a floating reed island in Peru situated on Lake Titicaca. The town nearby is Puno, which although it was a lovely old city, I didn't enjoy it as much as Arequipa or Cusco. The people live there all year round and one of the islands has a school on it for the More...

You know you're getting old when ... my husband went to a meeting yesterday wearing a Groucho Marx nose, mustache and glasses and quite a few people didn't know who Groucho was! Shameful.

Chico, Harpo, Groucho, Gummo and Zeppo.

One of Groucho's lesser known quotes:
"I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in More...

Jane - did you finish the 16 X 16's? I was breezing along (so I thought)on the HARD when I came to an "oops." Sure glad I bought a pencil eraser the day I saw them in the store. I'm beginning to wonder if 5-6" of eraser is going to last very long. Hmm, what channel did you say the Sopranos .....

MizTricia, you've got a point! And Jaffy, thanks for the quote; I'd never heard it, but it sure speaks volumes. The only Groucho quote that comes to mind at the moment is one from "A Day at the Races" where he turns to the wealthy old gal and says, "Marry me, and I'll never look at another horse ..."

As an aside, once you've listened to Brightman singing Deliver Me, check out the related songs. If you enjoyed the Phantom of the Opera, give a listen to Sarah Brightman and Antonio Banderas singing "The Phantom Of The Opera".
