Happy Wednesday day off (now where's my umbrella since I landed under Shosho's 'wheee!')

In my neck-o-the-woods, the weather guesser says for tonight. (coldest of the year, so far.)

Mostly clear. Patchy freezing fog after midnight. Lows 19 to 26. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north after midnight.

Wish I knew how to get rid of these pesky adverts on this site, it is the only place I get them and the popup blocker is on.

Good morning all. Greg and DoA are you Fahrenheit or Celcius?
21/Nov/13 6:38 AM

Amelia I don't get the ads and I don't think I've pressed any special buttons.

Dottie its good to see you properly back on site. I hope your recovery continues to go well.

It rained here yesterday so I spent most of the day on the computer - a real treat to myself. The next 3 days are going to be even wetter! We've had enough! Our hay needs a month of fine, warm weather before we can cut it. Our main paddock is still so wet from our record winter rain that the tractors would get bogged.

Fahrenheit - The clue was 'Patchy freezing fog'. (advanced apologies for the snide remark.)

Great photo's Sacky but if I ever want to go there I had better not show Bill the Queenstown plane photo, he isn't fond of flying.

Amelia, as a supporting member you should not be getting adds! It might be an idea to contact Gath as he is the expert, & in the best position to be of help.

Amelia, we're Celsius here in Canada.

Thanks Greg and DoA - it makes more sense.

Amelia the wind tunnel through there would make it very dodgy. We stood out in the wind for about 10 minutes and in that short time 2 planes came through. We drove, thank heavens.

Amelia, I think there are more issues flying into Wellington than Queenstown. On my last trip to Tauranga to see my family I was put on a flight from Auckland to Dunedin via Wellington, the Wellington passengers were offloaded in Auckland as the previous Auckland-Wellington flight was unable to land owing to gale force winds so had to return to Auckland. It was a very peaceful trip home!

Serena is an easier grader than our Scottish lass was. My answer yesterday was ''unhappy with u'' (you)
Dear Fiona would have done her, ''WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!'' thing.

Well, since both Kathy and Fiona have had their names dropped, when are either of them going to start posting puzzles again?

Hi Doug, I have indeed been to see the Australian Chamber Orchestra, last Saturday night - the feature was Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A, with Martin Fröst being the soloist (he's amazing!)

We are having a thunderstorm here at the moment. Rufus is a bit stressed, so I'm back on the computer so that he can hide under the desk in the dark. He is on 'happy' pills and that has helped him to be calmer, so he is not as frantic as he used to be. It could be a long day.

Well, maybe a little sarcastic... and sometimes with an apparent rolling of the eyes... OK, maybe occasionally a little rude. But always in a polite way?

Hubby's birthday today. We were going out for dinner, but changed our minds. I would like to cook him an orange/chocolate Jaffa cake, but I'm a bit worried we'll lose power. I hope this storm passes soon.

Everybody. Thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes. I finally had solid food for lunch and dinner. I haven't felt any ill effects from it. Hopefully tomorrow am's blood work will show everything is ok. Apparently my Lipase enzymes are high. All I know is they better have a really good reason if they don't release me to home tomorrow!
