Hi Eve. Very hard to ID birds without a photo and just an "anecdotal description" (to use scientific jaragon). Try this site, it has pics of all the world's ducks, teal, and mergansers- including the ones we humans foolishly mismanaged into extinction.

So good to see Jeb, Bert, Vera, Jano and others who have been missing from the regular posting...I think I even spotted Anew and Kim on some pages...hopefully summer vacation will see the return of others.
