Aha! Thought you could get rid of me, huh? We get picked up in three hours, so thought I'd check in. Thanks for the bon voyage wishes, everyone--I'll drink several toasts to you as I go sampling across France and Belgium.

To keep going, I do not have the class time in that you do, but it has been at least 3 years since I have taught and I still think about my students.

Cathy - OUCH - that hurts to think about it. Have a wonderful trip.
Karen and Kathy - thanks for the input.

jamie - if you had threatened to retire 5 years ago could you have spent the last 5 years on part time teaching whatever you wanted? Best not think on "what ifs."

Just think, Jamie - when you retire you can sit around on your duff all day like the rest of us cybermonkeys.

Cathy - but you're not standing there beside the door. You're at the computer.
Bon Voyage. Send us all a postcard.

I was thinking about Chapeaugraphy today (admittedly only for a short while)...if you were a hat what sort of hat would you like to be?

Hello Keith, I ate my last chocolate yesterday...sigh. Have a wonderful holiday Cathy.

Oh and the second thought...the hat can be made of any material so you are not limited in your imagination...obviously not tuna chunks or double cream because that would look sloppy...

Tasty but still sloppy.

Jill has done it again. She was set free, but is now on her way back to, what she calls the spa treatment, but back to the hospital she goes. The woman really needs to calm down or she will never get out there. And as a highly selfish person, what would I do without her? I am asking again for you to keep her in your thoughts, please.

André I love hats, I have lots. I like hats with veils which add a little mystery but also I would love to go to ascot in a really big outrageous hat.
Can you imagine quiet retiring medoibg something so outrageous!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thursday!
We will be off soon to drive up north to move our son out of the dorm (until summer school starts next month!) and wending our way home by way of SF and Santa Barbara.

Hello everyone. It's been a hectic and stressful 6 months-ish. As most of you remember, M2 (that's my middle child) was rx'ed in Feb with Aspergers and a few other delightful issues. I just want to gloat that I FINALLY got the school on board and he's going to get an IEP. He gets some time in More...

Wonderful idea, andre.

If I were to wear a hat, it might be found on this page:

or this, for a full line of related items.

But if I were to be a hat? Perhaps a bathing cap. No, a basque beret.

I would be right at home in Austria. Or in Germany at the Octoberfest! I could detach the little brush and sweep away crumbs from my stollen (never mind, Judy.)I could get a part in a re-make of Robin Hood!

Andre, the second site you have up there has a design for an articulated bear. I once met a verbose beaver, but that was unusual.

Angie, good to hear you're having success. May it continue.
Everyone is welcome to drop by my page and sample my chocolate.
Short memory, Colo Jim. Skip the last 150 days and think back from there about 7 years or so. Compare that failure to the success we're just starting to feel. Give the new guys a chance.

Linda M, just read your post in the forum. It will be special to know where the baby's name came from. I got the girl's name from the game show, Family Fued. How impersonal is that. At least here the name will come from among friends.
