One of the nicest things about Magnolia, KY is that there are LOTS of big Magnolia trees around. I have 2 different varieties in my yard, too. Wonderful trees with incredible flowers.

I have two magnolia trees outside of my home...I love the flowers of course, but I don't find these trees especially pretty, nor do they flower profusely...not sure of the variety, but the builder's landscaper didn't seem to get the nicest ones, much to my sorrow.

After shopping for most of the day, a couple returned to find that their car had been stolen. They went to the police station to make a full report, after which a detective drove them back to the parking lot to see if any evidence could be found at the scene of the crime. To their amazement, the More...

Bill's friend Harry was in big trouble when he forgot his wedding anniversary.
His wife told him "Tomorrow there better be something in the driveway for me that goes from zero to 200 in 2 seconds flat".
The next morning his wife found a small package in the driveway. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
I'm not sure when Harry is getting out of the Hospital.

Mamacita, my wife and I are seriously considering a trip to Australia next year in March or April. Broni volunteered to take me on a statue tour ... I figure we should be able to come up with a few good poses. Perhaps it can become a group thing ... the mind boggles with the possibilities.

Morning all!

My brother and family are currently driving around Australia - for a year! Yesterday they were driving between Uluru and Alice Springs. Anyone who has driven out there knows how isolated that is - not much but dust and stunted trees to see for hours on end. While driving at More...

Suzy - What a co-incidence!
When we were in Paris several years ago, my sister walked out of the lift in our hotel and met a woman whose daughter had gone to pre-school with her daughter 20 years earlier. Even though they both still lived in the same suburb, they hadn't seen one another again until they both went to the other side of the world.

Off to Britt - tonight is the The Flying Karamozov Brothers (comedic jugglers) a little different type of entertainment for Britt. Last night was Spearhead - I passed on that concert, not my thing. How long I stay tonight will depend on how good/funny they are. Tomorrow night Keb' Mo & Taj Mahal. Thursday - Earth, Wind & Fire. Later.

Just got back from California today, have to get blood drawn on Tuesday, then off to Denver and then to Taos, New Mexico for a bit!! Then summer will be "over" when I get my knee done.
When I was leaving for California, the forecast called for 60-70's all week. Friday they had a record high of 103 degrees?!

Thanks. I must start to make a list. Up until now, I've just been content to blunder on them as I travel. The most frustrating thing is when I find one worth posing with and my camera is back in the hotel room.

Ironic, jamie. I wonder if I was in Houston while you were in California. We could have at least waved to each other as our planes passed in the sky.
