Shannon - Wimbledon runs for two weeks (or as Fiona would say, for a "fortnight".) Most years the 4th of July is within the time period, but this year it's not. 23/Jun/11 12:52 AM |  |
Beautiful morning today. I hope everyone is well. Speaking of odd paint colors, we painted our bedroom a color called "queasy". I can hardly think of a worse name for a paint. I chose the color before I saw the name. It is a beautiful shade of soft green. Our sunroom is painted "Belgian Waffle" which is a sunny, pale yellow. I wonder who thinks up these names. 23/Jun/11 12:53 AM |  |
 Linda - Would be a fun job to have, don't you think? 23/Jun/11 12:56 AM |  |
Off to get ready to go to watercolour/color class! 23/Jun/11 12:56 AM |  |

Happy Wednesday!I'd rather have those tea bags steeping a nice cup to drink, thank you very much ♥ 23/Jun/11 1:42 AM |  |
Jane, thanks for the car color chart. Now I know why I've had a string of dark purple minivans! 23/Jun/11 1:43 AM |  |
Speaking of biking (as we were several posts ago, here, for your amusement, is a recent “letter to the editor” of our local newspaper, followed by my reply: CYCLISTS NEED TO USE BIKE PATHS WHEN AVAILABLE Dear Bicycle Twerp: Please explain why it's necessary for you to pedal More... 23/Jun/11 1:43 AM |  |

Kathy - Elegant, indeed, and your new avatar simply reeks of "futuristic and cool". 23/Jun/11 1:53 AM |  |
Jane! Great letter to the editor. Thanks for sharing. 23/Jun/11 1:57 AM |  |
Kathy, Jane ... is it still a compliment if it contains the word "reeks"? 23/Jun/11 1:59 AM |  |
 Ok, how about "oozes"? 23/Jun/11 2:00 AM |  |
If I remember correctly, Fiona posted a puzzle for today. I'll have to try to get back to it but must run errands while Little Plum is resting comfortably. 23/Jun/11 2:02 AM |  |
OK. That's SO much better, I'm sure. (where is that sarcasm font when one needs it?) 23/Jun/11 2:03 AM |  |
As you can tell, I have WAAAY too much time on my hands today. Waiting around for service people is not my idea of a good time. The AC guy just left. Said we had no problem with the AC/heat pump. It's the water heater. That's what ALL the AC service people have said. All the plumbers that More... 23/Jun/11 2:05 AM |  |

Stupid Guy Thing DayandNational Chocolate Eclair Day 23/Jun/11 3:06 AM |  |
Technical difficulties, last night did not let me get my eclair in or stupid guy thing. The technical difficulties also would not let me posts, darn it, though it did let me read. 23/Jun/11 3:09 AM |  |
This morning the Things and I have been not busy, but not doing anything. One informed me she is going to high school so she can go to her prom and the other tagged along, so I am taking the opportunity to see what is happening in the world. 23/Jun/11 3:11 AM |  |
Linda, I have Belgiam Waffle paint picked out for the living room. The cans are just waiting for the living room walls to have something done to them before the paint goes on. I have only been waiting 5 years. There is no rush, the Things are putting their touch on the walls, so no need for paint. 23/Jun/11 3:13 AM |  |
As for the appliance topic. I inherited my dad's dishwasher, the man who never purchased anything new, nor did he ever get rid of anything broken. Anyway, the dishwasher needed a part. Sears said they had not made that model in 10 years and had to hunt for parts. Man said, he would purchase a new More... 23/Jun/11 3:19 AM |  |
Okay, my nether regions shall be the one doing the groaning tomorrow, my bike tires made it through. You go Jane ( about your letter)! I am so tired of drivers telling me that I don't belong on the road. Of course it also irritates me when I see other bikers riding two abreast on a street or not following the rules of the road and giving the rest of us a bad name. 23/Jun/11 3:21 AM |  |
Well, gee. The prom did not last long and we are so close to the bottom. 23/Jun/11 3:22 AM |  |
Oh, good. Someone pushed me. 23/Jun/11 3:22 AM |  |
