Old Hickory it is great to see you.
Was thinking about you the other day, when we were discussing who has been married the longest in here and I had a thought of the newest marriage. Which I think, is you, who should be celebrating a year. Though I am not sure on the time.
Hope all is still happy in your world.

Mr Cee, was that a thinly veiled 'story of your life'?

Thank you for the clarification, Kayo. I think that you have a great idea there. I don't think he'll do it, though. He's afraid of heights.

The mystery picture yesterday was a can opener that came with sardines, Spam, corned beef and other canned meat/fish products. It was too easy since I got tons of correct answers: Heidi, Peter, June, Kate, Gma Jackie, Kathy (V), Karen, Margo, HalT, Dorthea, Sarah, Mr. Cee, Keith, Pam and Jerry. More...

Meanwhile, on the homefront, Jaime is cautiously optimistic that the back procedure he had yesterday has given him his life back! Stay tuned...

Did he have an epidural pain block, Jane? They have given me back my life.

Greg, I'm not sure why our fuel prices seem to be high. Not as high as most of California, though. During the winter months, Diesel Fuel is in much higher demand for heating purposes, which of course drives up the price. In other parts of the US, there are more refineries and there are more distribution pipelines.

Heidi - the epidurals worked for awhile, but the last two didn't do anything. The procedure he had done yesterday was one where they actually 'kill' the nerves. It took two mapping sessions to locate the offending nerves, and then yesterday, the doctor killed them off. He told Jaime that he was More...

Jaime asked the doctor if he could chop firewood again, and the doc said, if you don't do it too strenuously. Huh??? Didn't know there might be a 'non'strenuous way to chop firewood! Nope, I don't think Jaime will be chopping any more firewood. Not if I can help it!

everyone!

I certainly knew what the object was, Jane. I don't remember eating Spam, but for some reason, I remember the 'key' that was attached to the can.

I am happy to hear Jaime is getting relief from the back pain. With apologies to Fiona, that is

That sounds like a wonderful procedure, Jane. I've been having the epidurals every 3 months for the past 12 years. Last year they stopped working. We did an MRI and found that the area I was getting the epidurals in had mostly healed, and the section below that was the offending spot. I started getting the injections there instead and they work again.
