, y'all! The young ladies in the photo look like they're having a great time together! May we all laugh much as we age. 23/Jul/15 1:44 AM |  |
Can I just say that farm fresh green beans, blueberries, peaches, etc. are THE BEST?! I forgot how much I'd enjoyed getting fresh produce at the Market yesterday. It's too bad I didn't need strawberries, I would've bought them too (SC strawb season is over, but it's still going in NC - 'imported' from our northern neighbors). 23/Jul/15 1:46 AM |  |
 Great smiles. 23/Jul/15 2:04 AM |  |

Silvergal, when at home I go to our farmers market every Saturday. Yes, the fresh vegetables and fruits taste so much better. 23/Jul/15 2:08 AM |  |

 everyone!!!The pic was taken recently, right, GannieMo? 23/Jul/15 2:13 AM |  |
I go every week either on Tuesdays or Saturdays to farmers market. Different fruits and veggies are available as some stalls are here on either day but not both. I am enjoying tropical fruits now, sapote, cherimoyas, pineapples, all grown locally. 23/Jul/15 2:15 AM |  |
Who else is in the picture? 23/Jul/15 2:30 AM |  |
I always need strawberries. I'm raising a house full of fruit bats. I never understand the articles that give suggestions on sneaking fruit into meals. I have to withhold fruit to make sure other things get eaten first. 23/Jul/15 2:32 AM |  |
I don't frequent the farmer's markets here very often. I think it's because I was spoiled by the one back home. It was much larger, had a greater variety, and lots of fruit. 23/Jul/15 2:38 AM |  |
Got back in time today. 23/Jul/15 2:38 AM |  |

Our nearby market is definitely more veggies than fruit, plus some soaps, plants, etc. Not as large as the one downtown, but I'm not going to put up with the traffic. 23/Jul/15 3:31 AM |  |
Area SAHMs make it an afternoon out with their young children. Usually someone with shaved ice is there, and some vendors have inexpensive homemade cookies or baked samples for children as well. 23/Jul/15 3:32 AM |  |
There's a one-man band who provides entertainment with all donations going to a camp for child cancer patients. He'll have dance offs with the kids, sometimes play 'Freeze'. I think it's a good experience for the smaller children - introduces them to the bounty of fresh food. 23/Jul/15 3:33 AM |  |
The closest farmers market to me is in walking distance so I get exercise as well. Not only farmers but also local shops will participate. My favorite is the Greek restaurant which has olives, hummus, dolmades, and my must have - eggplant salad - a fantastic sandwich spread! Small local bakeries More... 23/Jul/15 5:38 AM |  |
We have two entertainments at opposite ends of the very long market. The food court offers Indian samosas to Mexican empanadas to Japanese spam musubi to French crepes - we're very multi-cultural here! To the good American kettle popcorn and potato twist (a whole potato spiral cut and deep fried, one very long continuous French fry. Yummy but I can't have every time I come!) 23/Jul/15 5:44 AM |  |
There's a new pic from my backyard in my gallery. I took it this morning. B. says she'll make lots of noise when she is in the yard. 23/Jul/15 6:13 AM |  |
