Good Maen, John. Well, thanks to CP I know more about Australia's elections, but can't say I understand it yet.

My first husband mother lived in Colorado and had a few acres with a cow (it could open the door and it slept in the kitchen) I churned butter in a large jar with a crank and paddle.

all from beautiful So. Oregon.
To be specific - Jacksonville.

New U-tube - for Jacksonville's Sesquicentennial Birthday celebration - next month. Written and recorded by Jewell & performed at Britt in June.

150 years ago they probably made butter that way here in Jacksonville - when not mining gold or drinking in all the saloons.

My x-MIL was half Indian and they had only had electricity for a few years. Living in Colorado Springs was an eye opener for a gal who was raised in San Francisco. Three apartments and I never had inside toilets. In one the water was a faucet outside and the bathroom was in another building. Yes it was in the city limits. I could see the Broadmore Hotel.

Good Morning People of the world.
Had CP-itis empathy last night. Restless sleep, then no sleep and headache from no sleep. Found my self in the sadist room at 3:30 doing domestic stuff. No food preparation, just major scrubbing. Made it back to my pillows around 4:30, only to watch the ceiling fan going round and round. When the sun finally came up, my eyes finally closed.

everyone!

Thanks to CP, I (think!) I understand the Aussie voting system a little better. I was trying to follow it in the paper this morning, but really couldn't make much sense of it. It's now a bit clearer, anyway.

Hehehe, before I do my cleaning dance, I clicked back to see what the world had to say after Shannon and I left.
CP is so funny, when she said she had made so many posts yesterday. The poor woman's headache must had effected her eyesight, because Thing I and Thing II was on every page, many, More...

Oh so close. Now do I really want to find my floors? The girl's will be home and would be so disappointed if they found all their things are not on display any longer.

I am having soooo much fun with my "magic mouse". The mouse that came with my new computer (that I am still wrangling with!) It has a touch sensitive back, you swish your finger one way and you scroll up and down the page, you swish it another way and you change web sites! I keep accidentally going to prior web sites and have to swish back to here!

Hmm I'm talking to myself. Hello?!?!
oh well, I've done a cp, I better get on with my life and exercise.
Karen, hope the free time lasts as long as you'd like but cuts short before it's a lonely life.

Good morning. Its been more than 40 years since I made butter, as part of a school project. Grandma said that including our family, by WWI most familys in the city had stopped making their own butter in favor of the ease of "store-bought."
It may soon be a lost art....

One floor found, another in progress. I do not have the right jamming music on. Need to pump up the volume with something that has more umph.

Too late Shosho, last night was torture. Way too quiet. I would like it to go on record, that when I ask for a break, a few hours is enough, to complete at least one thought. This stuff for a weekend is not fun for me. At night my girls need to be snug as a bug in their own beds, so I can get some More...

At least one more, since I all mushy, I blame the music I have on.
My morning phone call revealed, that Thing II does not like children's church and that Thing I made her a picture to make her feel better. It also revealed, that Thing I, had major trauma before church, had to have a splinter More...

Now for some Foreigner, maybe that will get the blood pumping to locate another floor.

My goodness. I found another floor and started preparations for dinner and no one had anything to say. We are an opinionated world, there must be something on your mind, that I can add my opinion instead of hunting for floors. PLEASE--anything, even if it is just a weather report.
Thing I is having her first innertube/boat experience. Anyone with an extra vailium?

Good afternoon to all! I had an aunt and uncle who owned a farm and continued to make there own butter well into the late 1960's. I must admit to me it tasted better on corn-on-the-cob then what we get today.

Thank you Canuk Greg, for the anything. I will take good laughing groans over cleaning any day.

I think the only real churned butter I have ever had, was out of a container that said churned butter. I don't think it is the same as what is being described here today.
