all. It looks like another fine day in the neighborhood. Been getting up and walking a little over 2 miles each morning now, trying to restore the strength in my legs and back that I lost the past year. It seems to be slowly returning, so I guess that's good. Have a great day, y'all! 23/Aug/11 12:11 AM |  |
Good for you, Captain J! Too bad all the walkers in Sudokuland can't walk together, Captain J! It would make it fun! Might even get me motivated! 23/Aug/11 12:17 AM |  |

 National Tooth Fairy Day. 23/Aug/11 12:22 AM |  |
Good Maen, all! Interesting how Tooth Fairy Day follows Senior Citizen Day. I guess that's another geezer perk. What's the going rate these days? Back when I was a kid, it was a dime a tooth. 23/Aug/11 12:26 AM |  |
Speaking of Sudokuists getting together... Nancy, Debby and I are meeting for lunch tomorrow! 23/Aug/11 12:27 AM |  |
from So. Oregon - will be hot again today. Karen - do I need to have a tooth pulled to celebrate this day? If so, I'll pass! 23/Aug/11 12:27 AM |  |
everybody.Shiela, glad you got to see ALL of your grandies yesterday. I understand that that is a special treat for some of us. Mine all live so far away from me. But I did feel a little closer today thanks to my Smartphone. Today is the first day of school in Orlando. It More... 23/Aug/11 12:27 AM |  |
Hmmmm..... If you lose your teeth as an adult, does the tooth fairy visit? 23/Aug/11 12:28 AM |  |

Had a good start for first day at school. Then we got to school and it went down a steep hill at high speed. We missed meet the teacher night, so we got to school early. If my first impression of the nice teacher, was also Thing I's opinion, we might have a rough year. I just imagined a More... 23/Aug/11 12:30 AM |  |
Off I go to exercise! As I mentioned, I can't get motivated to walk alone... so I have to go exercise with friends! 23/Aug/11 12:31 AM |  |
How lovely, Shiela, to see all your grandchildren yesterday. We saw all 3 of ours a couple of weeks ago when we took them into San Francisco to celebrate the eldest's birthday. It is so much fun when we all get together. 23/Aug/11 12:32 AM |  |
Awww, Kathy, I forgot to do first day pictures! What kind of a mother forgets first day pictures? 23/Aug/11 12:33 AM |  |
Kathy, today is the first day of school for my grandchildren today. My granddaughter is especially excited since she's starting Kindergarten and has been looking forward to it for the past year! 23/Aug/11 12:33 AM |  |
 Jane - a dime * 14 = \$1.40 The cost to replace that tooth \$1,400. 23/Aug/11 12:33 AM |  |
Karen... what a tough begining for you and Thing I! Hopefully she was as happy as a clam after you left! They usually are. 23/Aug/11 12:34 AM |  |
Jane, teeth were a quarter or a half dollar coin, when mine were coming out. I hear, there is a different rate for different teeth now, but I have no idea what it is. I also believe when you loose your adult teeth, then you have to pay. Guess it is because they are not as special as the first round. 23/Aug/11 12:35 AM |  |
Karen, my grandson occasionally turns on the waterworks when the school day begins. We've never figured out why. He is in second grade now and I'm anxiously waiting to hear from my daughter as to how the first day "drop-off" went for both the grandkids. 23/Aug/11 12:36 AM |  |
My oldest grandson starts kindergarten this year. We'll keep our fingers crossed for a better start!(Michigan schools start after Labor Day.) 23/Aug/11 12:36 AM |  |
Oh, Linda, you are so lucky. Thing I started Kindgarten this morning, too. She has been telling us for two weeks that she is sick and cannot go to school. Last night she told Man, that she has the perfect solution, instead of going to Kindergarten, she could go to dance class instead. 23/Aug/11 12:38 AM |  |
What? No tooth fairy for adults??? (Another good reason to not lose any of my teeth!) 23/Aug/11 12:39 AM |  |
Shiela, I know you are right. I backed away, when last teacher came up to help. And I did drive away, knowing she would be taken care of. Linda, Thing I, does not want to take a nap. That is the only problem I see that she is having at school. She was a victim of bullying last year, More... 23/Aug/11 12:42 AM |  |
Looks like there are lots of kindergarteners in our families this year. Such an exciting, yet stressful day for them (and the teachers, too, I might add!). Karen, why did you miss Meet the Teacher night? That's usually a big help in easing fears. 23/Aug/11 12:44 AM |  |
Now, about idiotic parents. The road in front of the school is one way. But there is always one of those people that do not understand what the one way sign means. Nor does it mean you get to choose which way to go. The sign tells you which way and if you are the only car facing the opposite More... 23/Aug/11 12:47 AM |  |
Yes, Karen, there certainly are a lot of idiotic parents out there! Good thing the majority of them observed the traffic signs. 23/Aug/11 12:50 AM |  |
