Wow, #3. I'm off early to help a friend move since I am one of the few Gringos with a car. Makes me popular! The rainy season has started but it hasn't cooled off yet. Whew!

Hello, friends.
Will need this morning - rain later.
It is soooo nice to be back here after not having my computer for so long!
(Just had to say that again!)

I am taking care of my neighbor's cat for 10 days. They are in Texas for a road race, but racing at a slower speed this year... Only 90 MPH not 150 MPH. (Reeeeally glad... I don't want to take care of their cat permanently!) Their cat is 22 years old! My dearest wish is that she'll not decide that More...

Shiela, aren't you wonderful for cat-sitting, especially after just losing Nigel. Hopefully the 22-year-old brings you a few giggles and some special cat love.

Excitement here--bathroom cabinets have arrived! Installation could take all day; counters get templated tomorrow. Can toilets be far behind?

I have a question for all you teacher types out there. When multiplying a whole number and a fraction, the book we are using for math says to convert the whole number to a fraction first. So 6 x 3/2 would become 6/1 x 3/2. Is there a point for this step that would become obvious down the road? Is it more of a visual spacing thing?

What can I say...
Her 'Mom' took care of Nigel when we went away - shots & all.
Cugi, the cat, is deaf as a post and it's hard not to startle her! (She meows reeeeeally loudly!)

Looks like I am about a week ahead of you on getting the bath done. Had shower doors installed yesterday. Thursday counter top is installed and hopefully the plumbers might be out if not they will come Friday.

Serena, I'd say - being as mathmatically challenged as I am - that it would help students to visualize the process. I learned that way.

Hey, you guys! I think I'm going to have bath-envy!
I'd love a new bath, but the kitchen will come first!

Oh, Sandra, darling, that is so sweet of you to help a friend move. But sweetie, we will not be moving again, until the end of May-ish. Until then, I don't know where we will be.

Oh, wait, I never know where I am.

I am clueless, on having a finished bath.

everyone!

I agree willows are pretty trees. Unless they are in your back yard. They are messy! I spent a great deal of time raking those little skinny leaves at one house we owned. Hubby was not pleased when cutting the lawn, either. More...

I read it as macaroni! I was all set to make a pasta salad for lunch.

There. That's better. I was still celebrating with my Earth Day avatar......

Karen, This is week #8 for my bath renovations. I have taken 2 weeks off one when I went to St Louis and last week to see everyone in Texas. I don't know about Cathys but my bath went down to the studs and was built back, we also had the floor under the tub jack hammered so we could have a roll in shower.

Yes, this was an easy 1-9 poozle. Willows are so beautiful but have ti watch out for water lines if in the city.
24/Apr/13 1:03 AM
 |  |

The answer to yesterday's poozle: $13.80

With all this talk of bathroom renovations I have the perfect prize for winners, Wolf, Shosho, and Serena......

Sarah Beth, Dottie R, and DoA, at least gave it a shot, so they receive the paper throne, too.

I read it as macaroni the first time through as well. I was having a hard time placing the day with her avatar. Usually she matches.
