I really found out how much of an addict I was while my computer was down. If I hadn't paid the extra money for expedited service (still took 2 1/2 days), I would have been down for 2 weeks.

A crash with loss of items is very depressing.
You should really get get a memory stick to back things up.

PioneerLady - I've spoken to Fred, well gargled if truth be known, his latin isn't that good in the evening. Eve, I second Rayray's advice. Get a memory stick so you will have a back up. I have several, one just for my family history and pictures.

I know I'm not going to understand women. I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax, pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the roots, and still be afraid of a spider.

Rayray, I would never use a memory stick to back things up! Ours last a maximum of 6 months before they die. Perhaps we mistreat them though...

Eve, I don't know how badly your hard drive is damaged but... when our last laptop died we put the hard drive into a special case hubby bought, and plugged it into a USB port on the desktop computer. I was able to copy over files I wanted to keep. We now use the old hard drive as a storage device.. kind of like a gigantic memory stick.

It had to happen. I was tempted and I succumbed.
This afternoon and evening have gone by in a blur, and the cause - I started and completed my first 16x16 It is a good thing that I didn't try to time myself or the clock might have broken under the strain. I know I nearly did. In future those puzzles are strictly for holidays. I have done nothing today, and now it is past bedtime.

Nice sunset picture as I woke up to nice sunrise...Life is beatiful. When in need for computer and cannot have my own, I go to any library....they usualy provide free acces for a while.
