GannieMo - Those 16x16 puzzles are addictive! They're about the only ones I do anymore, and I have to restrict myself to 2 hours. If I don't finish by then, I quit. So far, I solve about 50% of them.

Jane- Where do you find the 16x16.
They sound like fun -not, but I'd still like to have a go at them.
I mean to say 50% is half full to me.

Cheers

I took a look at the 16x16 puzzle for the first time today.. and may I reiterate what I just said.. I TOOK A LOOK.. hahaha. Hmmm, i'm gonna need more time, and motivation for that.

I wish I had a printer so I could print it off, that would be easier on my eyes.

PD Pete, have you found them yet. Look at the top of the page where the easy, med, hard and tough links are and just below them you will see a link to the Parent's page puzzle and to the 16x16.

My U-tube, the old newsreel should bring back memories of Saturday afternoon at the cinema. This one is important, because it is about Memorial Day in 1945 between VE Day & VJ Day.

I hope it brings home the meaning of Memorial Day Weekend - which we celebrate with picnics, trips, More...

This week they are breaking ground in Central Point, OR on a war memorial for all Oregonians that have died in conflict since Oregon became a State. It is less than 10 miles from here, so I will be going to their Memorial Day - the dedication is planned for Veteran's Day. Hope to be their to see my Uncle's name inscribed on the wall.

Rolanda - I often save the 16 x 16 puzzles, but usually I can't open them when I go back to them. About 75% of the time when I try to open a saved puzzle, I get a message saying something about needing cookies, and I presume my new computer keeps deleting them. Occasionally, when I save a 16x16, More...

Here is the result of another of my dabbles into the mysteries of the mind.

I am used when I am hard and mostly by men:

Hi Liz
Had a look and I'm back to say that your right it is scary and plenty of spare time is a must as well as a sound mind to start with cause I'd say there would be a lot of mental anguish before finishing the first one.
Will put it on the backburner for now.

Jake was dying. His wife sat at the bedside.

He looked up and said weakly: "I have something I must confess."

"There's no need to," his wife replied.

"No," he insisted, "I want to die in peace.

I first started doing sudoku on this site in the summer of 2005. I started simply posting the times, so I would know if I had done that page! That was all anyone seemed to do in those days. I was one of the first few dozen people to start posting whole paragraphs about ourselves, around July, 2005. More...

Jane and Rolanda, and anyone else, for the 16x16 have you tried opening another sudoku window and running one as usual and doing the 16x16 on the other? That way you can keep both up and running and just minimise the one you are not currently playing.
You have to be able to get to the fridge to refil your glass once or twice and keep up with the rest of sudokuland.

A Greek and an Italian were sitting in a Starbuck's one day discussing who had the superior culture. Over triple lattes, the Greek guy says, 'Well, we have the Parthenon.”

Hi GannieMo! Cool and damp here in Tassie today. Spent most of the day (and yesterday too)re-arranging my front garden. Mizzling rain but it cleared up after a while. The Derwent looks like a millpond.

Shikia is fine, we're visiting tomorrow so I'll see her then and, of course Chelsea too. She has her scans next week.
