Meg, Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. On this day, most major retailers open extremely early, often at 4 a.m., or earlier, and offer promotional sales to kick off the shopping season, similar to More...

Hey Meg!
I don't know when the name came to this Friday...doesn't seem like it has been called it that for too terribly long...but it is because it is the big shopping day. Stores open their doors at ungodly hours (midnight, 3:00 a.m.) to have sales for people looking to score good deals for Christmas presents. I can't imagine enduring that fiasco...but then I'm not much for shopping.

HI all! Looks like it's only the girls today...CP, Peter, Mr Cee, Greg, Captain J and Halt know how to play chess though and gave me the correct answer to yesterday's puzzle. Given the rush of people willing to step into the batwoman's shoes while she is away playing with her friends, I will do overtime exceptionally...

Gave a great talk on the our lives as a marathon and how to last the distance in a healthy way. Was very inspirational.

Good Maen, good people. I enjoyed Black Friday today by completely ignoring it. I guess we're not the type of people that like to acquire what draws others in. Usually that's a good thing. I tried Black Friday once, more as a social experiment than anything else. I find it overrated.
