During our recent flood, a young girl was perched on top of a house with a little boy. As they sat watching articles float by in the water, they noticed an old hat go past. Suddenly, the hat turned and came back, then turned around and went downstream. After it had gone More... 27/Jan/11 9:01 AM |  |
When everyone on earth was dead and waiting to enter Paradise, God appeared and said, 'I want the men to make two lines. One line for the men who were true heads of their household, and the other line for the men who were dominated by their women.. I want all the women to report More... 27/Jan/11 9:06 AM |  |
Neil, thank you for saying no one around here would say I am not right. As if... I should have looked back but I didn't, but either post 2 or 3, I said something about today's square was empty, except for my gorgeous, 23 year old niece's birthday. Or something to that effect, it was really a long time ago. Thanks for showing an interest in my day celebrating. 27/Jan/11 9:16 AM |  |
Karen, we would be extremely disappointed if you didn't keep us up to date on all of the proper celebrations. (And today is NOT opposite day.) 27/Jan/11 9:38 AM |  |

Alternate recipe for pavlova: Go to supermarket. Purchase pavlova shell, a bottle of cream and preferred fruit. At home, whip cream, pile it inside the pavlova shell and decorate with the fruit. A variation is to buy 2 chocolate coated peppermint crisp bars while at the supermarket. Grate one to More... 27/Jan/11 11:00 AM |  |
 1:59 Good morning all, I think. 27/Jan/11 11:50 AM |  |
The problem with the purchased 'pavlova' shells is that they are a marshmellow cake not a pavlova. They taste aweful and do not fulfil any of the things that you enjoy about pavlova. Crisp and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They are also flat on the top and a pavlova should be a bit hollow in the middle to fill with fruit and whipped cream. 27/Jan/11 12:45 PM |  |
By the way we are a pavlova free household as my oven won't cook at a low enough temperature. 27/Jan/11 12:47 PM |  |
There are some of you that really know my personality, one trait, I try to keep things on an even level around here. Never really get all outragious, unless I loose a child or my mother comes for a visit. Recently, I made a comment or question, about why do things, like emergencies, happen after More... 27/Jan/11 12:48 PM |  |

Wow, did anybody besides me watch the great tennis match between Wozniacki & Li Na? I was very happy to see Li Na become the first Asian woman to ever reach the finals of a major tournament. That's based on your post of yesterday, i.e. add age to year of birth = 111. 27/Jan/11 5:11 PM |  |

CP Welcome home from work. I hope someone has a cool beverage waiting, and a warm meal nearly ready. You seem to work such varied shifts that you must be tired. Cheers 27/Jan/11 5:39 PM |  |
Cyclone Bianca passed the coast where my daughter lives during last night in the N/W of W.A. It's now heading down the coast towards Carnarvon, a town flooded just before Christmas. Looks like they will get flooded again and the cyclone has built up to a category 3 27/Jan/11 5:52 PM |  |
