Dave, Calvin and Hobbes are my all time favorites. I have all the books (17) and I still have the last Sunday paper the strip was in Dec 31st, 1995. The Philadelphia Inquire. Sad day for me. Bill Watterson, the best. My guess is Hobbes is a male, because Calvin does not dig females. Most females would not stand by someone so gross (at times) as Hobbes does.

I've booked my flight to Switzerland, leave in September to be with my man for 3 months (no, not Joe from Geneva). I'm not used to the snow so have to come back to the Aussie beaches to thaw out in Dec!
