I should have put BOTP and that last one, but I'll have to settle with putting TOTP on this one.

Yep, a good start, Wombat.

Not getting carried away, it is just a trial.

Fun day. I've been working on my taxes today. Not finished yet, but at least it's a start.

Just wanted to pop in quickly. I better go see if Jeanie needs help with the three grandsons. Their parents are off celebrating a birthday (the mother of the boys!).

Am I totally confused about Wombat's puzzles - I thought I had seen some comment about Hal correcting her on one answer, but I don't see it now, and it looks like that puzzle and the one posted earlier today are both due Monday??

1:38. Good afternoon everyone. A bit (or a lot!) late on the site today, I had a brutal training run in the mountains wet of Canberra this morning - 31.1km, not so bad from a distance perspective but the huge climbs in the way made it really, really tough!!!

Jamie, the first of Wombat's puzzles was posted on yesterday's first page, followed by a comment by Kathy correcting one of his clues for a US state whose answer was a Florida city.

Wombat's most recent puzzle is soooo easy, it too is 'due' at the same time as the other one.

By the time I finish this explanation, it's likely not needed - haha!

I find the missing chunk alphabetical puzzles that Wombat submits are more time-consuming, but just as easy as the up and down ones. They are still fun to do - hard does not necessarily equate to enjoyable.

Thanks for that comment Sarah, I'm always looking for ways to improve them. You might notice that we are nearly through the alphabet on the fore and aft puzzles. I thought that we could continue on by me giving you the first and third letters instead of first and last. You'd have to find the end More...

I don't think giving first and second would work too well as there woold be too many beginning with double consonants, like BB, CC,BC, which are not the most common combinations in English. What do you think?
