Good Maen! Did you all see the lunar eclipse? My husband and I woke up at 5 am, dragged ourselves out of bed and went out to view it. The sky was clear as a bell. The moon was about half covered. We looked at each other, said "If you've seen one lunar eclipse, you've seen 'em all", More...

Cute kid, in his hideaway.
I don't know how many degrees is outside, but when I came home and feel so cool in apartment, then I looked at the indoor thermometer, it showed 29 degrees Celsius.

Can't control the related videos - they happen to be several different videos of Chicago doing "Beginnings" over the years.

Wish they would have been some of their other songs for a mimi concert.

Appy - Glad to hear that there is no problems in your town, at the present time. I didn't see a lot of coverage of the bombings over here. Keep yourself safe - be vigilent and remain ever prayerful - that man's heart will be changed.

10 Deer - 3 Bucks, 3 does & 4 fawns just came through the yard. What a beautiful start of the day.

Yesterday, I put some unpopped popcorn that had spilled on the ground the other night out for the Wild Turkeys - the 5 Toms were fighting each other for it. Next time I'll have to spread it out in several locations. Gobble - Gobble - Gobble

Hello all, just thought I would pop by and say thanks to all those who contributed to my question, "what do you call a group of Sudoku players?"
My favourite 2 so far are
Number - from Grannie Mo and
Grid from Gail.

EVE, your feeding the turkeys popcorn remind me that once my then young daughter and I put some unpopped popcorn out, just off the deck, to attract the wildlife. We had a few large birds and squirrels come help them selves, then because it was a rather dissapointing turn out, we discontinued the More...

Good Morning everyone.
It is really Crazy,Crazy,Crazy World !!!
Two Months ago when I arrived CA ,I don't know any thing about "CARS" that it is just a carton film of cars to the kids.During these Two months of my recent visit to my Son's family I find everything have been More...

Off to fish with my husband and his brother, who is visiting with us. This year I will NOT announce how many fish I catch, because I do not want to humiliate them ... again. Fragile male egos, and all that. :)

Wagdy, it is not really a crazy world, just sometimes "driven" by the phases of young children. When a child sees something larger than life, they get so enthralled by it that they want toys, towels, lunchboxes, etc with that on it. Since parents and grandparents know that it is just a More...

Wagdy - I agree with you. There is far too much commercialization in this country, especially that targeted at small children. Back in my day, about the only thing you could get with a "theme" was a lunch box - or dolls, but since I was a tomboy, I didn't have much use for dolls, and More...

Wagdy, welcome to the world of American marketing! Sometimes it drives us parents (and grandparents) nuts. Like Stella said, sometimes it is worth it to see the look on the child's face. And it is not just children. I myself have a rather large "Wizard of Oz" collection. I have More...

Yep, I am still here, you can't get rid of me that easy. It is a very busy time for me right now. I am getting both offices ready for me to leave, and a new person come in. I will be starting a new job on Sept. 4th! . I won't be around as much during the day as in the More...

Wagdy, by the time Kevin's an adult, he will have been through many "phases". I remember many with my kids. Star Wars, Cabbage Patch Kids, Barbies, Matchbox cars, GI Joe, the list is endless. The good news is you'll never have to wonder what to get them as presents! Just enjoy it. They grow up so fast!

I don't have grandchildren but have 6 grandnieces/nephews ranging in age from 4 to 14. Gifting is very easy at birthdays and holidays because they do not receive gifts. Rather, donations are made to their favorite charities. (This was the idea of the children, by the way - not the parents!) Two More...

Cars on the other hand - they may not grow out of.

A sign in a garage of a car collector read: "The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys."
