i.e. 50 or so rainbow lorikeets, and 10 or so kangaroos. We noticed they did this for each new arrival, but unless you fed them they didn't come back.

Just got back from physical therapy. I have a new PT person, so I was reassessed. (My first therapist, Kara, moved to a different facility.) Jason's 'graduated' me from several exercises and added harder versions of others that I've been doing. Luckily, he's tuned into the fact that if you have too More...

Well, I did a stupid thing today and now I'm on crutches for the first time in my life. I sprained my knee and it was so bad I went to urgent care. Now I have to take pain meds and wait for the swelling to go down. Then I can get an MRI and a referral to an orthopedic surgeon who will recommend a course of treatment based on the MRIs.

All to get a photo that didn't work out. I stepped up onto a boulder - no big deal - but I went to step off the other side of the boulder without noticing the ground was steeper there and further away on that side of the rock. It was only about 12 inches, but I was off balance and my knee popped. I can't put any weight on it at the moment.

Ouch! Poor Plum! I hope your knee recovers quickly.

Someone who loves me dropped off crutches but I can't use them. They are for tall adults. The smallest height they adjust for is 5' 10', so I'm 5' or 6' too short to use them. I've taken the pain meds so I can chuckle about this. My crutch provider is now getting shorter crutches for me while I sit, somewhat forlorn, in my foyer with my leg elevated while the girls make us a late dinner.

Poor Burl. He came home with a head cold from work today and instead of resting he's been hauling me out of the garden, to the hospital, in and out of the bathroom and back into the house. I think it will be an early bedtime for all of us tonight.

Ha. The site turns inch marks - double quotation marks - into foot marks or single quotations. So all that made no sense whatsoever. Now to adjust this shorter set of crutches and try them out.

So, double quotes ('')and double apostrophes ('') look about the same on this site. Both work as quotation marks or inch signs.

Sorry to hear about your knee. I've had a knee injury that I didn't rehab properly as a kid, and I've paid for that my whole life. Make yourself stick with the ''course of treatment,'' whatever it is. You'll thank yourself later. I can't resist commenting something about carma and a hop, skip and a jump.

Thanks Plum for keeping my back and letting me know when Hal was around. In spite of, or maybe because of, your efforts I still didn't get BOTP.

I hope the onerous task of keeping watch on Hal didn't contribute to your fall Plum. Or maybe it was the Hop, Skip and Jump to 22 that predistined your fall. It doesn't do to thwart the Wombats. . In any case get well quickly, or maybe you'd rather have all the attention lavished on you.

Hi Folks, here are the answer to Monday's out and in poozle.
