At what point do you become a twinkle in your father's eye?
03/Jun/08 1:29 AM
 |  |

Well, I wasn't born until '55. So, since I wasn't to be conceived for quite a while, the eye wasn't twinkling yet.

It probably all depends upon how "twinkly" your father was by nature, Rena. Eeewww ... that fits in the category of stuff we really don't want to know about our parents!

OK everyone I got the maths wrong. I meant 1953. I was already in 2009; I think it has something to do with all the rain we have been having and my little grey cells have become water logged.
I have still found it interesting how young you all are out there.
I was 8 in that June, hence the love of egg sandwiches.

My father was Irish and had blue, blue eyes that often seem to twinkle.

I don't know about the twinkle, but I'm the six of seven.

Judy, I don't want to know about any twinkling that went on either ...
I was born in '54.

GannieMo - my Mom worked, so during the summer, I would spend the day with another family that had daughters the same age as I was. Their mother thought the TV was "the devil's tool" and would not have a TV in their home (come to think of it she may have been right). However, she with More...

Here's today's one - didn't like it at all and would never have found the answer! (Much prefer the Mr Reid ones!)
"I am where the sky is orange;
I am where the grass is red;
I am the land of violet bananas
and the home to blue oranges.

What am I?

Guess it is time to check out how the party is going at Jane's (from St. Simon's Isl, GA) & take over some oldies of Bo's with me. Some old time rock & roll - for those of you born after 1950 may not have enjoyed during your teens. Time for a jam session - tribute to - Bo Diddley.

YSL? Yes, I wear his clothes when I'm painting the house ... and my Manolo Blahniks when I'm gardening. I'm just miffed that Fiona is making fun of Judy's delicate age.

My experience with YSL is breathing in deeply as I pass a display of his fashions in a store. 'Bout all I can afford!
