BAD news. Don't read if you only want the good. Barbaro was euthanized today. He'd been one brave colt.

Good Morning! It's January 30, 2007. January 30 is the 30th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. There are 335 days remaining (336 in leap years). On this day in 1969 the Beatles' last public performance took place on the roof of Apple Records in London. The impromptu concert was broken up by the police. If you like the Beatles, go to http://www.beatles.com/

... and have a great day.

2:42 Morning all. Lovely flower, the hibiscus.

To Deb, Susan, Andre and Angie (Melb): thank you for your reassuring words. It certainly helps to lower my stress levels to know that so many others have been through the same thing. My doctor and I joke that I seem to be a walking obstetrics More...

AP - thank you for the chocolate info. I will use and abuse that information regularly!
Angie (Wisc) - so glad to hear that your son is well on the mend - I hope that your fridge is well stocked for his return.

Morning all, I recieved this from a friend, this is just part of it.
Happiness is a voyage not a destination.
There is no better time to be happy then....NOW!
Live and enjoy the moment.

Ole and Lena were taking a walk. They came upon a nest of skunk kits. The mother was nowhere to be seen. Lena was worried that the kits would die from exposure. She told her husband ''Ole, go home and get a box so we can save them. I'll put my skirt over them to keep them warm til you get More...

Very funny funnies!!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Karen. My heart goes out to you.

Rose...I have no doubt that all will be fine with you and your baby. In this day and age the Dr's can do wonders and with all of the technology of baby monitoring (while still in the womb) and More...

Just thought I would give you an update on Nicole and Kiarah..Yes they are my life right now...lol
Nicole has been asked to visit the clinic every Monday now to keep an eye on her and Kiarah. She had mastitis last week but that has cleared up. Kiarah is still not wanting to sleep on her own and More...

Good afternoon to all!

André: It is obviuos to me that your thought for the day does not apply to you!

Had quite a big thunderstorm here in the early hours of this morning (2-30am). A lot of rain (much needed) but even more lightning and thunder. We had one very scared Maggie in bed with us, literally shaking. A fine day today, blue skies, just hope the humidity stays low. It's about 27c here in my dining room at 7am.

nice flower

oh, and a bug died today

used to write to this site last year, tried the chat room, but wouldn't let me in, wondered if Baz was still writing, haven't seen his name for ages

Glinda - 2 or 4 slice toaster and does it warm muffins? Chrome or reflective? Do the controls resemble that of an F16? Enjoy your toast.

Florida Sudokuists: Our temperature is predicted to fall to 25F tonight. Our neighbor has planted her Christmas poinsettias in the yard and has gone away. What can I do to prevent them from freezing?
 |  |
This was nice to play . freed my stress!!!

Chalkboard - cover the plants with sheets. If it doesn't stay too cold for too long that should protect them enough to survive!

Re: Toaster for Sale

The Toaster is a 4-Slice Deluxe Toaster. It is Red. It is made from the remaining parts of a 1964 VW Bug. (In fact, it may just be a 1964 Bug, which would explain the stick shift.) It will toast muffins, but you have to push them rather hard into the slots, and then they get all crumbly.

Back again after some sleep. Karen/Ohio - sorry to hear of your loss, it is never easy but you are so wise.
 |  |

Good news angie/Wisconsin, he'll be hard to catch up with now.
 |  |

And my good news from yesterday is that eldest grandson had his first ever day at school - and wonders what all the fuss is about! Mind you, he was fast asleep at 6.30pm when I wanted to talk to him.
 |  |

Pam, Baz is still around but haven't seen him for a week or two.
 |  |

And predictably I'm gonna do this one just to make a CP's CP. Deb, I'm glad Nicole has all that support.

lovely photo
Jeb
great joke
Glinda & Billy
think you have cleared up all the questions I had regarding the new toaster.
Did you have toast Glinda?
Karen
my sympathies
Angie
good news
cheers

Glinda - in that case you should be storing it under dust sheets especially if it has its original Sapphire by Bendix a.m. radio still intact. I'm imagining that the front end boot stores the bread? The red colour denotes 'fast' toast...it must have been a thing to behold in it's toaster days...it's a sad day if and when you have to part with it...
 |  |

Do we have a competition for the arrival of Rose's baby?
 |  |
Sometimes there is music when I use my toaster, but I do not know where it comes from. Usually songs by the Beatles.
 |  |
Julie, I'm glad that you explained Dave's dream about the Superbowl winner, and the good thoughts that are understandable for Chicago to entertain. However, just as LK wrote, I too wish you good luck and a fine showing, however, I wish far better luck to the Colts to take it all. GO COLTS!! Karen: More...

Beautiful flower Bible Study tonight

Angie, great news. Rosemary, how you can be so concise with your comments amazes me. Funny stuff today. Billy and Glinda, great minds think alike. You two are funny...thanks for the smiles. Rose: Wishing you well trying to hold on, but as has been said, the doctors can do wonders today, so don't More...

Billy, Too much Listening to Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds?

Karen, My thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
 |  |

Ed - perhaps Billy has had too much LIVING 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'

Glinda: Have you considered papering your kitchen with tin foil?
 |  |
Billy, Only a fellow Ausie could say that. I have a Hugh email for you. It's a goody. Well all of his are.
 |  |
No, I have not considered papering my kitchen with foil. But I have foiled my kitchen with paper.
 |  |
Barbaro RIP. You gave it the best you could. Which is a lot more than I can say for our two legged jackasses.
 |  |
Glinda, just for you, probably, being a toast fan, you've heard both before. I like the second one best.

Got my turtles! Yay! Unfortunately (hah!) my kids aren't so fond of them, and my husband is on a healthy eating kick, so I'm having to plough my way through them on my own... a tough job, but someone has to do it...
