A Thought For The Day:

Strewth, in this day & age, being able to yabber on to your cobbers using dinky-di Aussie lingo is about as useful as wearing ice skates in the outback.

Kayo, speaking of obesity .... you should watch the old western 'The Magnificent Seven' and see how skinny the men were back then. That was before fast food was invented. My goodness, how times have changed.

For those who don't like copying and pasting web addresses, the same video is now on my page. (Yay, I remembered how to do it)

Well, it would seem the Russian drivers should keep their vodka consumption to a bare minimum. I'm surprised there are any people left in the country after seeing that, Doug.

I have marveled at that Russian video a few times, the best I think is the guy that gets thrown through the windscreen of his truck and can still walk.

Still Sunday here and hubby too sick to go to church. Still, shopping must be done so I can make him chicken soup (Jewish penicillin anyone?). Lovely warm weather with sun shining in our little patio so I will drag him out there when I get back from getting groceries.

Taking a break from packing away some Christmas decorations. The tree will stay up 'til the 1st, but the dining room and kitchen tables are back to normal. Next up, the living room. The tree is in the family room, so we'll enjoy that a little longer.

Good morning all. Hopefully today will be the day the first of our hay is cut. The soil on the lower paddocks has finally dried out enough so the tractors won't get bogged. This is the latest we've ever cut our hay, ibecause it's usually done and dusted before Christmas.

Kathy, I've only got a few cards to put away and then my Chrissie dedecorating is done!

Hay cutting time is always a bit stressful. This year we have had 1 good hay drying week and our paddocks were too wet to take advantage. This week is only forecast for low 20s with a chance of rain. It's not good for hay, but it's got to happen. The contractors who cut it are on a schedule and the grass gets too dry if left too long. Fingers crossed that all gives well.

People with horses buy our hay, but only if it doesn't get rained on when it's on the ground, cut but waiting to be baled.
