Good Maen to everyone! Ruben - You are a beautiful baby! 30/Apr/09 12:09 AM |  |
Good Maen, John, Karen and Debby! It's a beautiful morning on the coast. Off for a bike ride and then a visit to the local nursery to buy some garden supplies. See you later! 30/Apr/09 12:10 AM |  |
Good morning Karen - how about unwordly people?Sometimes I feel unwordly.Good morning John.I must go quickly now I've done the puzzle. Busy, busy, busy! 30/Apr/09 12:11 AM |  |
That is hard to imagine, Rayray, all us worldly people without a word. We maybe quiet some days, but there is always a word to say. Have a hug, to help you along with your busy, busy, busy day. 30/Apr/09 12:18 AM |  |
 Rayray - I don't think you're EVER unwordly!!! (Thank goodness!) 30/Apr/09 12:19 AM |  |
Had to have one more cup of coffee before leaving on my bike ride. This time I'm going for real!!! Bye for now! 30/Apr/09 12:20 AM |  |
 Happy Wednesday! What a sweet baby--howdy, Ruben! 30/Apr/09 12:24 AM |  |
I have a question for my more worldy friends -- my niece is getting married next May - on the first, This morning, I got an invite to their wedding website. It was fun and hot to know the couple - what they enjoy doing, etc. Anyway, there is a RSVP More... 30/Apr/09 12:24 AM |  |
oh, and I used a word from above --- cleaning the house today - have to find a important paper and thus, off I go to tidy up -- anyone else need an excuse to clean -- if only I could start.... 30/Apr/09 12:25 AM |  |
Oh, how I love a straight 1-9 puzzle! It gives me the illusion of starting off the day a bit smarter and more organized. 30/Apr/09 12:26 AM |  |
2:15 Hi to all. Sweet little one x Thought for the Day: You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you`ll discover will be wonderful. What you`ll discover is yourself. 30/Apr/09 12:27 AM |  |
Good Maen Mymare - I have never heard of receiving an invitation so early, but with peoples lives so busy these days, maybe it is best to "plan ahead!" We saw a Ruby-breasted Grosbeak on our bird feeder yesterday. We had never seen one before. It was a beautiful bird. We are dry today, but expect more rain tomorrow. Have a great day everyone! 30/Apr/09 12:31 AM |  |
all a little brighter day today. Debby Grosbeaks are neat birds. Mymare - haven't heard of an RSVP that early, but it is nice to know if you have to save a date. I have had almost a years notice of several weddings that required travel. 30/Apr/09 12:49 AM |  |
Either that or eat a chocolate croissant, which I am doing...beats discovering the wilderness. 30/Apr/09 12:52 AM |  |
Have a nice day to all of you. 30/Apr/09 1:01 AM |  |
Good Maen Sudokuland! I love the grosbeaks as well. Mine have just returned this week. I see Ma and Pa all summer long. I would love them to bring the family by to say hello, but I never get introduced to the kids until they are teenagers. 30/Apr/09 1:14 AM |  |
Hmm, Jane says she is bike riding, but she has also been known to swoosh in for the 22. Do we believe that she is really gone? 30/Apr/09 1:15 AM |  |
I just bombed Karen's inbox, that should keep her busy durinig the race. Who else is in line for the competition? 30/Apr/09 1:15 AM |  |
Maybe I can just sneak it through when no one is looking . . . 30/Apr/09 1:16 AM |  |
 22! 30/Apr/09 1:16 AM |  |
 hee, hee, hee 30/Apr/09 1:17 AM |  |
andré, have you tried an almond croissant?Filled with almond paste (marzipan) with toasted almonds on top, mmm. .....but I do know a patisserie where they put chocolate in with the almond paste, but we have moved further away from there, alas. (or perhaps that is not such a bad thing) 30/Apr/09 1:18 AM |  |
mymare - I'm discovering much is being done over the internet now and new rules are being invented. I think it's quite a kindness to both hosts and guests to get the date out as soon as possible. It will help their planning to know quite well in advance how many people to expect so they can find More... 30/Apr/09 1:18 AM |  |
I forgot to say they serve the chocolate/almond croissants hot. 30/Apr/09 1:18 AM |  |
Karen - I'm so "head in the clouds" that I think I come off as OtherWorldly -- which is a nice way of saying either "get a clue" or "aliens among us." 30/Apr/09 1:20 AM |  |
 Happy Birthday Day 2 Plum! 30/Apr/09 1:22 AM |  |
Hmm. We need to think of the proper nomencalture for these two day Birthday celebrations. Day 1 and Day 2 seem so plain. The Aussie Birthday and the Stateside Birthday seem to leave out so many celebrants. Can the worldly people come up with a word (or words) for this phenomenon? 30/Apr/09 1:25 AM |  |
 Good Maen, everyone. Lovely picture :D 30/Apr/09 1:25 AM |  |
Oh, Mo... If only I had a car I'd drive over to Kalamazoo where there's a bakery that makes almond paste croissants with toasted almonds and a very slight drizzle of white icing. They also have an espresso bar. Oh, and they have enormous cream puffs with a delicate pastry and the richest melt-in-your-mouth real cream filling. Happy Birthday to me. If only .... mmmmmm. 30/Apr/09 1:25 AM |  |
We could call them our BeDouble Days 30/Apr/09 1:28 AM |  |
Birthday Eve and Birthday Proper? I'm game for Birthday Week and Birthday Month. But then, yesterday and today have been such packed, "regular days" that I have no time to even have a special dinner or party & gifts time. 30/Apr/09 1:29 AM |  |
HI all! Well I see that Kathy failed to give me an answer for yesterday's math riddle, but well done to Jimmy (being a fellow Scot, of course he got the right answer...) and to the Birthday Proper girl Plum who also gave me a huge long explanation of how she found the answers to be 72 and 81. If anyone really wants to know - give Plum a call! You might take note Kathy. 30/Apr/09 1:35 AM |  |
what about a Pre-Bubbly Day, a Bubbly Day, and a Post-Bubbly Day; that way we can drag it out for half a week! 30/Apr/09 1:37 AM |  |

 2:18 Maen! Cute kid, that Ruben... :) 30/Apr/09 1:40 AM |  |
For those of you who asked, I am 48 years old today. I was re-baptized as an adult 25 years ago on my birthday. If you look at my avatar the 4 is for April, the 29 is for the 29th, the 61 is for the year I was born and the 5 is for the number of people in my household. I had to have numbers for my avatar sudoku grid so I thought these numbers personalized it pretty well. 30/Apr/09 1:40 AM |  |
Good thoughts Plum. But a bit unfair to the folks who celebrate the birthday Proper first and then have to wait for those of us on the other side of the dateline to catch up. 30/Apr/09 1:41 AM |  |
I'm going to give up on birthdays and celebrate un-birthdays instead. That way I get 364 celebratory days a year and one day to recover! 30/Apr/09 1:41 AM |  |
