I ran along that bit of the waterfront right near the end of the first official half marathon I ever ran.

Thanks GH and Neil. I'm getting a new, faster, internet connection for my birthday!

Sorry Shiela and June, I missed saying good morning to you.

Chris, If it's new, faster, cleverer, it propably won't work after about 10 minutes.
05/Jan/11 12:07 AM

NOOOOOOOO you will be even harder to beat.

But we will try.

If Chris' internet connection is any faster, he's going to post for the top of the day and it will show up last week!

Shiela, speaking of artistic, what are you working on at present?
05/Jan/11 12:12 AM
 |  |

Ah thank you Plum.

That's what I'm worried about Neil! I must get to bed, my 10yo son wants to wake me up early in the morning (he's nearly as excited as he was for Christmas!) Good night all.

I'm 'on break' right now, Plum. Just got 6 of my paintings framed as a Christmas gift from my hubby! Will start up again tomorrow with a new painting. Something with sunlight and shadows.

Spent many years traveling across that bridge going to work.
05/Jan/11 12:15 AM

That bridge is probably not under water.

No but I have seen the fog so thick that you cannot see it even when you are on it.

I remember Burl doing one of his introduction to art courses at the beginning of his BFA. He was to paint with only two complementary color acrylics, black and white and it was a study on highlights and shadows. The exercise practiced combining the complementary colors to muddy out the tones to varying degrees and also to pick up reflected color within the shadows. It fascinated me.

A few minutes before the church services started, the congregation were sitting in their pews and talking. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church...

Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil More...

That does sound fascinating, Plum! I wish I had had formal training. It's tough to learn specific lessons when it's a hobby.

Kate - nice angle on the bridge!
