While on vacation I tripped over a curb & fell, injuring my foot. Decided to come home early and go to my own doctor - only to find out this morning that she is on vacation! Her office staff told me to go to urgent care. If I'd known that, I'd have gone to urgent care there and not come home early!!!

2:09. Good Morning, all. My sympathies, Shiela. It's funny, but up here, my first reflex for an accident, is to go to the ER, or perhaps a walk in clinic, and go to my own doctor just for illnesses, vaccines, physicals and chronic issues. I wonder if that's an effect of our different medical systems?

Smart choices, tom. I don't think there is normally differences in this area of our care. I am thinking hubby was thinking of saving money by avoiding a walk-in clinic/ER.

Sorry Shosho! I tried! Maybe it's the thought that counts?

So that would be a difference, Shiela, since all three choices would be covered under our provincial health and there'd be no charge at any of the locations.

I have the dreaded colonoscopy tomorrow. I am just trying to keep busy and forget how hungry I am. I have the delightful prep later this evening. Yeah, I know. A necessary evil.
To say I am not particularly good company would More...

Kathy, the colonoscopies of today are a piece of cake. The worst part of the whole procedure is the prep. Good luck.

I'm not sure I would use the word ''cake'' in conjunction with ''colonoscopy.''

Just what would your comparison be, Judy?
06/Aug/19 11:15 AM
 |  |

This is not my first rodeo, Hal.
And, yes. The prep is the worst.
First part finished. More early tomorrow morning, then off to get it done. That I don't care about. I'll be pretty much unaware.
Thanks for mentioning cake you two. It's not like I'm hungry or anything.

Rodeo, huh? Now that's something I would have never thought of.
