Picture does look a bit on the dark side, Plum, and that cardinal is very bright indeed!
(A very good morning to all, regardless of the time implied in photo!)

Thanks, Plum!
I'm very much better (even if my time doesn't show it yet) - a few days ago it had a very scary grip on my lungs, which it has finally released.
A friend brought me a little dropper bottle of wild oregano, which she promised would clear things up very quickly.
I held my nise More...

Today's ECCO......

This one is all about numbers....

All answers are written in letter format. No numbers were injured in the composing of this ECCO poozle.

Remember the last letter of an answer is the first letter of the next answer.

1:20, still cooling down from my run, very muggy outside. Good morning everyone.

Bit of a glitch in today's ECCO. No 8 and No 9 do not follow. So No 8 starts with a 'T' and ends with an 'E'.

Rage - you're not far off about a cardinal's 'personality.' They are one of the imperious birds that can scatter other species just by showing up and laying claim to the seeds in the bird feeder. Nevertheless they are a favorite bird especially in the winter when they are at their most brilliant More...

Cardinals are a popular winter motif in Christmas cards and calendars etc. usually photographed (or painted) in the snow on an evergreen branch with pine cones or red berries.

Sorry Peter, your correction didn't help me. 'No 8 and No 9 do not follow.' Do not follow what?

Sorry Fiona - This is amazing!

Thanks, Hall for stating my dilemma... thought I was missing something.

Sooo, since #8 is an obvious answer; are you saying, Peter, that #9 does not start with an 'E'? or what?????
