You've never had a two year old asking why? Its enough to send my brain back across the Pacific ocean

Only a two year old puppy Dino! Hope to actually go across the ocean this year! Even had my mug shots taken to get a passport.

Did you get the new electronic passport? It gets you into USA without needing a visa... at least for a few months. Oh, and do make sure your brain stays with you and does not loiter behind as mine tends to do.

I came out as a Porsche 911, but they missed out on one of the best looking, fast classical cars of all time - the E Type Jaguar. I owned one for nearly three years so I should know.

Hi
are you all ready for the big Trip?

07/Mar/08 10:57 PM
 |  |

Hi Angie, the car's ready but clothes are spread all over the house, so ready we ain't. But we'll get there.

Rose, Happy Birthday. Sorry I'm a little late.

Oh Ian I dare not tell Steve the "E" type was his dream car. He still gazes lovingly whenever he sees one. I, on the other hand had a boyfriend who had one. Not the most comfortable car for a bit if a cuddle!
07/Mar/08 11:04 PM
 |  |

Drive carefully, Ian, and take lots of pics to post (but not too many for hard jigsaws).
07/Mar/08 11:04 PM
 |  |

Where are you tripping off to, Ian?
07/Mar/08 11:04 PM
 |  |

LOL/ sounds a bit like my place at the moment.
We are off camping this weekend.
Have a safe trip, looking forward to meeting you on Wednesday Night.

Angie, I don't see it so much as a 'Big Trip', but rather more as an endurance test. I have been driving the Hume since it was single carriageway all the way, with no overtaking lanes. It was something of a challenge in a Beetle and a swift journey in the Jag. Nowadays the challenge is to stay awake.

GrannieMo, you know your cars. 'A bit of a cuddle' was almost impossible - but where there's a will there's a way.

GannieMo, we leave for Melbourne on Sunday.

Angie, enjoy your weekend, it looks like you will have good weather. We both look forward to the meeting on Wednesday.

Ian have you thought about travelling via Canberra and across the mountains to Cann River? Its not that much further and a pleasant change from the Hume Highway. In fact, you'd not be far from my place that way... close to Wilsons Prom
07/Mar/08 11:19 PM
 |  |

GannieMo, if you wish you can tell Steve it was a Series One, Version Two, white with red upholstery. It went like the wind - I have had it to 150 mph, it would do 90 mph in second gear! As you know, there was just enough room for a blonde and two overnight bags.
07/Mar/08 11:19 PM
 |  |

dino, I know the way and I have given it some thought, but when we are driving it in one day, the Hume is the route that requires less thought.
I know Wilson's Prom having spent an Air Force camp at Waratah Bay many years ago. One day I'll get down to see you.
07/Mar/08 11:23 PM
 |  |

So you know it well. When you've got more time, come and visit. The place has changed since your Air Force days.
07/Mar/08 11:25 PM
 |  |

Angie, great song and thanks. I can relate to the lyrics, but my hair was an Air Force 'short back and sides' in those days.
07/Mar/08 11:28 PM

dino, thanks for the invitation. We'll get there one day. We've been flashing past Rosemary's place many times in the last few years but this time I hope we will be able to call in for a cuppa on the way home.
