Wow! Does 'first' mean I'm up before anyone else this morning? Hubby will never believe it! 08/May/18 12:03 AM |  |

Ahhhh, Hal...(Good use for the upper right hand on the 'smilie's' page?) 08/May/18 12:13 AM |  |
Good Maen, Shiela, HalT, and all you other good people. 08/May/18 12:17 AM |  |
Good one, Shiela! Hello all! It's sunny here too, but very chilly~ 08/May/18 12:17 AM |  |
I showed up just before calendar turn and read Wombat's question and have been writing this answer: Nope, Wombat. I think life is just distracting a few more people than normal. The degree of difficulty in your puzzles has remained consistent. Your puzzles are crafted to make it More... 08/May/18 12:19 AM |  |

Joyce, it's chilly here, too, but a bit chilly is fine with me - if it's sunny! 08/May/18 12:23 AM |  |
 Good morning to Hal & the ladies. 08/May/18 12:31 AM |  |
 Good morning 08/May/18 12:59 AM |  |
Everybody!! Late. My Keurig got clogged up. Took more than the usual cleaning tool to unclog it. Had to use paperclip in needle to finally clear it. Worst part? It held up my first cup of coffee! Ugh!! 08/May/18 1:24 AM |  |
 everyone!!! 08/May/18 1:42 AM |  |
Don't you just love it when you put on a nicely ironed shirt and when you sit down to have breakfast, you've already wrinkled it? 08/May/18 1:43 AM |  |
Happy Monday!Plum: well spoken words re: Wombat's poozles. The busy-ness of living in the 21st century (still working FT, drat!) means I don't get to indulge in working as many of them as I'd like, but I do appreciate his efforts 08/May/18 2:46 AM |  |
Lovely Bali. The fisherman adds a nice touch. 08/May/18 2:54 AM |  |
Have been cleaning the YELLOW pollen off the back deck. I hate which ever tree that does this. We tried to set outside last night, my allergies made me come inside. 08/May/18 3:47 AM |  |

 1:31. Good morning everyone. 08/May/18 6:04 AM |  |
I am hosing off my car every morning, Sue. Seems to be a horrible pollen year. Even if you don't have full-blown allergies, which I don't, I can still feel a tickle in my throat, some occasional congestion, and, occasional sneezing. I feel sorry for the allergy prone. 08/May/18 6:36 AM |  |
Morning all, my sister and hubby are visiting Bali at the moment.I should have got up earlier, my brain not working as usual, made so many mistakes . 08/May/18 6:59 AM |  |
Wombat's puzzles are great, gets the brain ticking and if it gets stuck there is always Mr Google. Thank you and keep them coming. 08/May/18 7:06 AM |  |
Thank you for the kind comments about the poozles. There are only 3 1&4 poozles left so I hope I'll be able to find some other combination. I'm not sure how well 2&3 would go. It would be a problem at the start, for example -AA-, XX YY ZZ II, but if I started with -AB- that could work. 08/May/18 9:38 AM |  |
Wombat, of your alphabetic sequence puzzles, I've enjoyed the 1&4 structure the best because it has allowed more weeks with all 26 combos and there have been letter pairs in the bank. I suppose you could even try 1&5s, for that matter, as letter triplets could be fun, but I wonder if that would be More... 08/May/18 10:26 AM |  |
This weeks puzzle is a simple General Knowledge quiz with no particular theme. For your own fun why not award yourself 3 points for solving by yourself, 2 points if Mr Google helps and 1 point plus a trip to Maccas if the grandies answer for you?In the 17th Century Izaak Walton More... 08/May/18 11:38 AM |  |
Thank goodness Google knows what Maccas is. Even knowing that Australians talk funny and cannot pronounce words with more than two syllables did not help me figure it out without help. I feel like an idiot because it took me a while to understand what Google was talking about! In the US, the nickname we use has three syllables! 08/May/18 3:47 PM |  |
I was going to second Plum's comments about Wombat's puzzles, but others have already agreed so it's too late to be the second. 08/May/18 3:48 PM |  |
Talk funny Sarah!! Strewth and stone the flaming crows. Causin more trouble than a redback in an outback dunny. 08/May/18 8:56 PM |  |
 Ha Ha! Arachnid! Good on you. 🕷 08/May/18 9:54 PM |  |
 LPotD 08/May/18 11:59 PM |  |
Arachnid sends me back to Google.... It's as Shaw said about Britain and the US, two countries separated by a common language, but hundredfold. C'mon, why are only two syllables permitted for any one word? 09/May/18 3:00 PM |  |
