What an interesting picture. Why is it that some 'fabulous' places never quite look as fabulous when you eventually get to see them?

maen all! the picture makes it seem like a small town. katmandu actually is a city of about 300,000 people, not very modern but not as backward as one might think. nearly everyone is computer literate and there is no shortage of modern conveniences. banks,stores,churches(temples),etc. although scooters and bikes outnumber cars about 5 to 1.

Like the picture...but prefer to stay here for now. Just waiting to go camping in Abitibi where our trailor is waiting for us.
