What a cool toadstool! You're right Jiminoregon - blue food is daunting. Once in college, a friend made a cake with blue food coloring and iced it with blue colored icing topped with gum drops - very fanciful, but none of us felt like eating it

I thought of blueberries, but they are usually a much darker, almost purple, blue.

I made a comment on this mushroom on the Jigsaw site a few months back, and nearly had my head bitten off by someone, apparently eating funny fungi.

I can truthfully say I have never seen one of these before didn't even know they existed.

Who can eat such thing? I wouldn't eat blue thing anyway... even more daunting if serve on dark dishes..... even nicely painted... not for me
