First time tried hard and got time of 3:56. Loved the star fish picture at the end. Keep the puzzles coming.

I feel like such a failure....

Okay - how do you guys get it out so quick? Do you guess a lot? I try not to put any number in unless I have worked out that it is the only one that will fit but it takes me a good 15-30 mins that way. Maybe you just have the type of brain that recognises mathematical patterns really quickly? I used to think I was one of those - now Im not so sure!

Dax, I have the same problem. By the time I fill in the little superscript numbers, and even if the answers fill right in from there, it still takes me 20 minutes. I don't see how anyone can do these in less than 15-20 min.

Yeah it took me a LONG time to finish this one compared to the Easy and Medium levels, but the starfish picture was well worth it. I think I'll try Tough another day...

Best time ever for this level at 5:11 - and no, I don't cheat by randomly inserting numbers! Keep practising, you'll get better quickly. :)

Is anyone have massive trouble with puzzles like the Hard one from 16/9 ? I figured out a method for solving it, and I was wondering if it was worthwhile communicating it out to someone.

If you guess a number and it is incorect your time should be invalid.

To all of you who have these incredibly low times.... what options are you using i.e. check moves, automatically remove possibilities, etc.? I
believe these times have to be physically impossible using none of these extra options at all.

I got 5:13 using cheats. I wasn't 'Randomly inserting numbers' like Mom says, but I wasn't taking the time to make sure that the number I was trying was the only possibility--it was more like it was one of two things, and I'd just try one.

I use the 'cheats' regarding 'possibilities' but I never guess. If I get ANY number wrong I quit immediately (with that as a 'failed' puzzle). My times for the hard puzzles typically range from 6 to 15 minutes. It seems kinda unreasonable that people are doing them in 2 or 3 minutes but maybe there are some techniques that I just haven't figured out yet.

how do you 'cheat' and have all of the possibilities generated for you? once that is done, I can usually solve the puzzles quickly; it just takes time to fill them all in (once I have already eliminated boxes fir the row/column method, box method and matching pairs method)

I do these puzzles for relaxation, why use the timer and put the pressure on to beat your best time?

I'm with Deb. I need to relax. I don't care about times. Just having fun. Some days are fast some are slow and I've learnt that sometimes slow and steady is the best way to get to my destination without going insane. But each to his own as they say, if you want to time yourselves then go for it!

7:56 on my first Hard puzzle. One thing to speed you up is click on a number below to highlight it. Then all you need to do is click the puzzle and each time will get you that same highlighted number. No need to go back and click it again. That reduced mouse going back & forth. Hope that helps!
