I wish my hydrangea was this lovely but I did only plant it last year so I'll have to be patient.

Add a little aluminum, and ... voila ... blue flowers! Isn't there another Southern flower that changes color like that, Hal?

I love hydrangeas, and they do grow here (in spite of the heat) if you pick the spot well. I have fried a couple of them. Wonder if I'll be allowed to buy another. {We brought a lovely fuchsia home from Fort Bragg, CA, once. Poor thing. I'm sure I have had my fuchsia license revoked now.}

Don't know, Judy. But it wouldn't surprise me if there were. Read in the paper just today that kudzu may be a good source of bio-fuel. If so, the southeast is sitting on a gold mine.

Must be California hydrangeas with our basic soil. My mother always wanted pink ones in Florida and she had blue. The grass is always greener... if you want pink you get blue, and if you want blue you get pink!
