Wendy, it would be a very old tree. The boab was a source of water for the aborigines during the dry season. There is one old boab near Derby that had a hollow centre and was used as a lock-up.

If you look at it long enough you can see 2 eyes, a nose & mouth! Perhaps it was the inspiration for the 'ent' in Lord of the Rings! (Is that a cigarette in it's mouth?!!!) Definitely an alien, where are the men in black!!!(maybe I need the men in white coats)HA ha, he he, ho ho....
