Good morning to all! Gosh, I submitted this photo a long time ago. This is a representation of the bear I use as an avatar. There are numerous Kermode bear representations throughout British Columbia that were sold for a charity and decorated for dirrent things by the buyers.

Artists did the same thing here in Great Falls. I think to benefit the Russell Museum. Only here they painted Buffalo. Still fun to see them at various places around town. As I recall my mother, who lives in Iowa, said they painted Pigs there!! I think New York and Chicago had painted animals also, but I do not recall which animals.

New York had painted cows all over the city.

In support of local manufacturer Hasbro Toys, Rhode Island has done the same thing with Mr. Potato Head. They did polar bears in Winnipeg - and there are also killer whales in Vancouver.

Bears are beautiful animals, but very dangerous. We had been to a taxidermy several years ago in Virigina. Their fur is much stiffer than what it looks like.

Crabs in Baltimore.

They did turtles here in Florida and sold for the local Mental Health Association. They called it Turtle Trax. Is this big fella wearing any pants?

I think they did bears in Chicago and Snoopy dogs in St. Paul or Minneapolis, angels in Los Angeles. Where did I see painted ponies?

Cows in Zurich, Switzerland. Arizona should do saguaros or at least cactus.

Naturally, we have colorful statues of our local wildlife all over town - donkeys and elephants!

While we are on the topic of painted animals for charity--Nome had salmon, Toronto had moose and Calgary had cows. Very imaginatively painted too.

San Francisco did hearts -- you know, the ones left there.

Whew ! For a moment I thought they had stuffed Scooby Doo.
